🙌 Pottery Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne: We’re proud to announce our latest new contract win that sees us part of the project team on this flagship North East Build to Rent development for client Olympian. Our statement ETICS and Rainscreen Cladding systems are set to deliver on the design intent of this major new build close to the waterfront. It will see 519 high quality build to rent apartments brought to market on the banks of the River Tyne between the Redheugh and King Edward VII bridges. Our A-rated facade systems to be installed on Pottery Lane include:  ✅ 7,500m2 of our A1-rated, Kiwa UK AlivaBrick featuring red multi and buff multi colourways. Our ETICS slip system will create a statement finish at large scale as well as contributing to the project’s sustainability credentials. ♻️  ✅ 1,430m2 of our A-rated aluminium rainscreen cladding installed on a vertical and horizontal format. Powder coated and matched to RAL 7008, a colour complement to our slip system chosen for the project. Take Me To The Bridge Last week, we had the opportunity to revisit The Bridge in Guildford, a transformative project we delivered for Location Living in 2023. This innovative conversion took the operational YMCA, originally with 78 single bedrooms, and expanded it into a vibrant community of 130 bedrooms. Given the layout of the existing building as a YMCA with an arrangement of single bedrooms only. The team opted to creatively utilise the lower ground floor to house all kitchens, complemented by dedicated amenity and breakout spaces. This design choice fosters a strong sense of community, allowing residents to interact and connect in ways that traditional PBSA cluster flats aren't typically arranged in terms of the kitchen dinner locations. Feedback from Homes for Students who operate the building, has been overwhelmingly positive. Students are embracing this new concept, enjoying the collaborative atmosphere it creates. It's a refreshing alternative that we believe could inspire future developments where suited.
