⚠️CAUTION!⚠️ SQUIRREL TAKEOVER AT THE ROYAL PARKS HALF MARATHON On Sunday we sponsored the Royal Parks Half for the first time and it was epic. Big thanks to The Royal Parks and London Marathon Events for being so up for our ideas. We certainly didn't hold back: - a team of 20 runners in bespoke merch (featuring a tail of course) - a stand in the Race Village with climbing wall, squirrel face paints & nut butter smoothies - a Very Important Squirrel tent for our runners & friends of Pip & Nut, with our OG toast bar and post-race masseuse - a mega cheer point at Mile 7 with the most enthusiastic cheer squad of all time and a live brass band - an army of squirrels at the finish line and more roaming around the race course and village - a total of 40,000 peanut butter stuffed oat bars enjoyed by runners and spectators alike. We can't imagine many people would agree to be in a chilly Hyde Park at 7.30am on a Sunday, but that's exactly what the whole Pip & Nut team did. And that's why the energy was unmatched. Shout out to our brill production partners Positive Experience for bringing our vision to life. Photos by Nick Caro Modular Media®

It's a Monday, it’s October, it’s raining, you just got splashed by a massive puddle outside High Street Ken tube station. Then, out of the corner of your eye, you spot a neon logo and some giant letters. It’s Pip & Nut and their new range of peanut butter stuffed oat bars 🤯. You’re starting to feel hungry, so you walk into Whole Foods only to be greeted by some very enthusiastic squirrels, handing out samples of the very bars in question, in all three flavours. You eat one and it’s delicious. You’re no longer hungry, cold or wet. You’ve met a talking squirrel. Day = made. Catch the team at Whole Foods High Street Kensington today and tomorrow, where we’ll be handing out the best bars in town! Thanks Bianka Szatmári and Pedro Custódio for the support 🌟 and thanks to Neue Design Studio for our lovely window and Positive Experience for the excellent foyer production 💥

One of the best things about being a B Corp is the community. Yesterday we had a great morning at Sainsbury's HQ with a handful of our favourite B Corps. We were there to spread the word about using business as a force for good, as well as handing out some limited edition goodie bags to a long line of very enthusiastic Sainsbury's staff. From deodorant to beer to nut butter, it's so exciting to see the B Corp logo appearing across almost every category in the supermarket. Big thanks to Charlie Barnes for helping us organise this, as well as the brilliant brands: JUBEL, The Tracklement Company Limited | B Corp, Cafédirect Group, Wild, STRONG ROOTS, Eat Real + PROPER | WARP Snacks, Vita Coco & Little Soap Company - BCorp™ B Lab UK

Nuts … step aside. Today we want to talk about PEARS. 🍐 Nope this isn’t a rebrand or teaser for a limited edition drop, but a big shout out to the brilliant charity The Felix Project, who rescue surplus food that cannot be sold and redistribute it to the most vulnerable in society. In 2023 alone, they gave out the equivalent of 32 million meals to over 1000 community organisations and schools. An incredible cause for sure. At Pip & Nut, everyone gets an allowance of 3 days a year to step away from the desk and volunteer for great causes and worthy projects. On Friday, a team of (very soggy) squirrels braved the English autumnal weather to pick lots & lots & lots of pears. 3 tonnes to be precise! These high-quality pears, grown in a beautiful orchard in Kent will all be heading out tomorrow to food banks & community kitchens across the South East. Definitely not bad for a day’s work!

Want to know what went down at our JEDI MATTERS Collective LGBTQ+ Voices event? Here's our 4️⃣ key takeaways from this inspiring event: ⚪ Treat everyone as individuals - the experiences of everyone within the LGBTQ+ community are different. People will be at different stages of their personal journeys. Some will be more readily open to talk than others. The challenges and experiences of the different identities within the community are unique and need their own nuanced approach too. Never assume anything about anyone, this rule should apply to all people. And instead approach with kindness and, importantly, always ask how you can support someone rather than make an assumption about what they need. ⚫ Visibility helps destigmatize attitudes and empower difference, but there’s still a long way to go - brands like the Gay Farmer & Brighton Gin are pioneering the way to shift the narrative, helping remove stereotypes and fear that some people still hold. The more that can be done now to normalize words like gay, queer or trans, through visibility the more accepting future generations will be of the community. Small incremental changes have a huge impact long term. 🔵 Being active allies - Amie wonderfully shared that ‘allyship is when people in the room support you even when you’re not there’. Allies have an active role to play in calling out bad behaviour as well as to lift up individuals. The result of such actions can be hugely impactful. This was especially pertinent in recruitment where people in marginalized groups, like those in the LGBTQ+ community, will be less confident to put their hat in the ring for a role or promotion. 🌈 Rainbow Washing - When is it ok for brands to support Pride? There were mixed views in the room. On the one hand brands who cash in on this one calendar moment (fact- did you know there’s actually 280+ Pride events throughout the year!) & don’t evidence they are doing the work throughout year is inauthentic, consumers and the community can see through it. On the other side, some of the panel thought that any publicity is good publicity so whether it’s a pub putting up bunting or a brand creating a rainbow pack it’ll all contribute to normalizing and supporting the LGBTQ+ movement. Whatever the view, the panel were united that businesses using Pride as a way to cover up bad behaviour is never acceptable. Huge thanks to our esteemed panel: Kathy Caton MBE - Founder of Brighton Gin Krishnan Doyle - Managing Director of CoreRecruit Sam Feller - Founder of Popcorn Shed Amie Burke - Inclusive Programs Manager at IGD (Institute of Grocery Distribution) Mark Dyer - Founder of The Gay Farmer And to our very own Billy O'Reilly for being an incredible host, allowing space for such great conversations to emerge, and Nate Roberts for welcoming us at The Lucky Saint pub. #lgbtqai+ #networking #connection #inclusion #allyship #belonging #nationalinclusionweek
