PAS 2080 Accreditation We are pleased to announce that we have recently received our PAS 2080 accreditation from BSI following their assessment of our Carbon Strategy and Carbon Reduction Plan. The aim of PAS 2080 is a specification for whole life carbon management when delivering projects and programmes in the built environment. The PAS supports the transition to a net zero carbon economy by 2050 and requires close collaboration across value chain members. It defines our contribution towards the net zero transition by developing and implementing, in a collaborative manner, the PAS 2080 carbon management process. Aligned with the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals, we look forward to the challenge of playing our part in reducing carbon through innovation and new ways of working.

This week Premier Traffic Management Ltd joined other contractors working on the Carlisle Southern Link Road (CSLR) project, to deliver work experience to students at Caldew School.   Its was great collaborating with other stakeholders and making new contacts too with Cumberland Council Story Contracting Limited Galliford Try Danny Sullivan Group Go Green Ltd Heidelberg Materials UK and Peacock Precision Engineering.   We're looking forward to joining up again as the project team , to deliver genuine social value to the region.

Following on from our visit in November 24, we joined colleagues Emma Hughes & Amanda Hare who are working alongside us in National Highways SDF Community in Yorkshire and the Northeast yesterday, to deliver some great RedSTART Educate finance awareness training with Cherakee Bradley to Year 3 pupils at the Stephenson Way Academy in Newton Aycliffe. Engaging with pupils at this age to discuss money, borrowing and how we make choices about how and what we buy is an important part of their education. #socialvalue #community

Staff in the Premier Traffic Management Ltd Liverpool depot proudly wore their "Blue for Bobby" T shirts today and joined colleagues from Huyton Asphalt Ltd and HA Civils in support of the 'Slow down for Bobby' road safety campaign, which was launched 2014 when 6-year-old Bobby Colleran was killed in a road accident. The impact on the mental health of Bobby’s siblings led his mother, Joanne, to spearhead both the Bobby Zones and the improvement of bereavement therapy for young people whilst fundraising through the annual Bobby Blue Day, football tournaments and events throughout the year to raise funds to provide free counselling to those in need. Heel and Toe Children's Charity 👣 is committed to improving the quality of life for children with physical disabilities and complex needs in the North East. We provide a range of essential therapies, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy. As we do not receive government funding, our charity relies entirely on income generated through fundraising efforts and the generous support of local businesses and individuals. To continue our vital work, we have launched a sustainable clothing recycling initiative, in partnership with ECS Textiles. As part of this project, we are seeking to place our charity recycling bins at various locations across the region. These bins accept not only unwanted clothing but also toys and bric-a-brac, all of which are generously donated by the public to support our cause. We currently have bins in local businesses, schools, and nurseries, and we would love to add your premises to our list of collection points. Thank you to Phillip Beaumont from Premier Traffic Management Ltd who is supporting Heel & Toe Children's Charity by having a recycled clothing bin at their County Durham & Northumberland Branches.
