We're celebrating International Women's Day today, embracing this year's theme, "Accelerate Action", and our commitment to supporting menopause at work. Women are four times more likely to develop osteoporosis, and going through menopause further contributes to bone loss. To create awareness around this, our Wellbeing Team Beth Whitehouse, Assoc CIPD, LLB, Liz Squibb and Lydia Roberts set up an engaging display in the middle of the office featuring our skeleton, Indiana Bones, with facts tagged to her for staff to read and discover more about bone health. We also had fun by holding quizzes and offering word searches, creating an interactive and informative start to the week! So we're spending our Mondays celebrating progress, reaffirming our commitment to continuous improvement and striving to create a workplace where everyone feels valued, understood and empowered. Our work on the GenesisCare Cancer Centre in Guildford represents a milestone in innovative healthcare design, sustainability and community collaboration. This state-of-the-art facility, completed in 2023, offers cutting-edge cancer diagnostics and treatment, including one of only three MR Linacs in NHS trusts nationwide. Integrating advanced sustainable technologies like solar PV panels, LED lighting and EV charging stations, the Centre achieved an impressive EPC rating of A. By working closely with GenesisCare UK and Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, this project eases NHS pressures and delivers world-class cancer treatment to both NHS and private patients. 🚀 Exciting key worker housing event! 🚀 Our Community Engagement Team hosted a successful drop-in event in Dorchester this week to discuss new key worker housing proposals on Poundbury Road. The planned project aims to provide 79 new units, offering a mix of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom accommodation. 🏢 The Oak House project, previously the Magna Housing head office, will be managed by Hyve, a not-for-profit organisation specialising in key worker housing. They also operate Alexandra House in Brewery Square, Dorset. Our event saw enthusiastic participation from residents and local councillors who met with the project team. Attendees learned about the plans, viewed the design and layout proposals, and discovered the significant benefits the project could bring to the community. The feedback and insights they shared will now be integrated into the design process to ensure it aligns with local needs. 🚧 Construction update at the Adanac Health and Innovation Campus 🚧   We're thrilled to announce that construction of the new Sterile Services Department and Aseptic Pharmacy in Southampton is nearing completion! 🌟 Great progress has been made by Willmott Dixon on the state-of-the-art facility this month, with external works well advanced and the Aseptic works due to complete.   Key updates include: ✅ All the isolators have been delivered to site and are being commissioned ✅ All utility connections are complete ✅ Primary gas connection reinforced ✅ Building systems testing and commissioning progressing well ✅ External works including the green roof and landscaping nearing completion   Operated by IHSS (Decontamination & Sterile Service Solutions), University Hospital Southampton NHS FT and UHS Estates Limited (UEL), the development will function as a ‘super centre facility’, sterilising surgical tools and equipment for UHS and the wider health community. The aseptic pharmacy will be a separate controlled environment where staff can prepare injectable medicine and other life-saving drugs. It is Phase 3 of the campus that Prime is delivering in partnership with UHS. Green-fingered Prime staff rolled up their sleeves and dived into an incredible terrarium workshop for our latest sports and social activity.🌱🍃 Hosted by the wonderful folks at Plantamamita in Worcester, the workshop explained the hobby’s varieties, the history of how it started, the natural processes that occur without human intervention, the building process itself, plus landscaping hints and tips. 🪴 With expert guidance, staff created their own mini ecosystems to take home, all while bonding over a love for nature and creativity.
