Prism is a registered charity whose mission is to increase the flow of funds into the charitable sector
About us
Prism the Gift Fund administers charitable donations from individuals, foundations and group fundraisers. Individual clients can donate cash, shares, art or property, or make regular donations through their bank. We operate a ‘donor advised fund’ and donations into the fund are distributed to charities according to donors’ wishes. Lump sum gifts can be made into your fund at any time or topped up whenever suits you. Some of our clients take their philanthropy a step further and establish a foundation. We act as a ‘back-office’ for those that don’t have the capacity to do so themselves, dealing with the significant administrative burden that this entails. This can include: the processing of grants to charities, board meeting administration, submitting accounts and more. Prism also offer a 'Collective Fund'. This is an account that allows fundraisers to raise money without setting up a standalone charitable structure. We manage all the back office work involved with the day to day running of a charity, allowing the fundraisers to outsource their admin and focus on the project work. To find out more about how we can help you, contact us by email!

A showcase of innovative cancer treatments🔥 Our relationship managers, Jocelyn Phimister and @Abigail Sever, joined the audience to hear Kristian Helin, CEO and President of The Institute of Cancer Research, Dr Olivia Rossanese, and Kate Verity Wilson, who shared ground-breaking approaches to cancer treatment. In the accompanying booklet, the institute shared its work with Laura, a young woman who campaigned about brain cancer in young people after her own diagnosis. After her death, her family and friends set up a collective fund under Prism to carry on her work through the Be More Laura Foundation and we are proud to support their important work. You can see more information about this fund here: https://lnkd.in/eCvMnpaG

We want to welcome our latest team member, Eoin Hallam 💫 He joined us this summer as an intern, where we put him through his paces both in the office and during our staff socials - which saw him on the winning team of our latest rounders match. We are delighted that Eoin will join Prism as one of our Relationship Managers. We’ve been extremely impressed with his approach to work, initiative, and energy. At Prism, we believe it’s vital to bring on and develop new talent into the sector. Eoin wrote this piece about his time as an intern and what he’s learned—you can read it here https://lnkd.in/eFTxJAEc We run a number of internship programmes throughout the year. If you know young graduates who might be interested in a career in philanthropy, let them know! #Philanthropy #CharityCareers #Internships #CharityIntern #

A huge congratulations to our brilliant finance team, which picked up the award last night for ‘The Best Finance Team’ at the Charity Times Awards. 👏👏👏 We would not be able to deliver on our mission each year, and achieve the growth we have, without the unwavering support of the Finance Department and Falgun Patel, our Head of Finance’s leadership and innovative approach to problem-solving. If you're interested in numbers and figures, here are some impressive stats that tell the story of Prism’s finances over the past year. 💷The team oversaw a donation income of £115 million and a distribution of nearly £70 million to charitable activities globally in the last financial year. 💷With current assets under management of ~£330 million. 💷 90% of payment requests are processed within 24 hours and in the last financial year Prism distributed funds to 45 different countries around the world. 💷Prism uses multiple bank accounts, with 3 banks in 4 different currencies, and both onshore and offshore banking. 💷The Finance Team processes urgent same day payments with very short notice, a pivotal role during the pandemic and recent global humanitarian and natural disaster emergency situations. · 💷The team oversee large numbers of investment accounts across 40+ different asset managers and is reviewed by Prism’s Finance Team and the Board Finance Committee. This is impressive work from the team and comes as we move towards our 20th Anniversary, where we are projected to reach a cumulative income of $1 billion, with nearly $500 million already distributed to charities across the globe. Caledonia Dickinson, Head of Donor Advised Funds and Collective Funds Reena Pardesi, Finance Manager Falgun Patel, Head of Finance and Operations Gabriel Tucker, Investment Accounts Assistant Platini Cardoz Senior Finance Manager

Every member of our team is playing a role in the groundbreaking reforestation project run by one of our collective funds – ClimateForce. 🌳 There was excitement in the office last week when everyone got to see the rainforest tree planted in their name via Climate Force’s reporting dashboard. The project is taking place across 370 acres of lowland rainforest in the Daintree World Heritage Zone, Australia. The collective funds small team, combined with over 100 volunteers, have big ambitions of building a blueprint for organic reforestation in remote regions around the world. Using the latest technology, research, and determination to keep the unruly landscape and grasses at bay, they are helping the new saplings thrive and creating wildlife corridors. The plan is to plant more than 360,000 native trees over the next 25 years, allowing more carbon to be removed from the atmosphere and stored, while driving biodiversity gains that will reduce the harmful run-offs affecting the Great Barrier Reef. You can find out more about them and our other climate-focused collective funds here: https://lnkd.in/eAPy3Bcr And visit their website here: https://lnkd.in/eFdHX-Di #PhilanthropyInAction #ClimatePhilanthropy #MajorGiving #ImpactThroughGiving #SustainablePhilanthropy #ReforestationForGood #NatureBasedSolutions #GivingBackToNature #ClimateAction #CharityAndClimate #GreenInvestments
