Redrow’s leadership and site team share how they’re benefiting from the support provided by the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS). From toolkits that familiarise teams and trades with industry best practices, to training and resources designed to elevate standards, the CCS is an essential partner in helping Redrow ensure top performance on-site. Their efforts extend beyond the build, fostering positive relationships with local communities and setting benchmarks for quality in construction. With thanks to Group Construction Director Zara Barrow MCIOB, Assistant Site Manager Hezam Zain, Trainee Assistant Site Manager Austin Dalby , Internal Operations Director Matthew Ekin BSc (hons). #ukconstruction #constructionindustry #housebuilding

The New Homes Quality Board (NHQB) attended the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool. It hosted ‘A fair deal for all new home buyers’, a fringe event with a panel discussion about how the proposed 1.5 million new homes to be built does not come at the expense of quality. Key takeaways include: 💡 Hearing from Andy Vernal with a customer experience of using the Ombudsman and the need for all consumers to have this channel for redress.     💡 Learning from the Lead Ombudsman, Sarah Hesp, about how the Ombudsman works and the value it offers to consumers like Andy, and how other consumers are being turned away, because their developer is not covered by the Code.    💡 Understanding the importance of having the Code and Ombudsman service in place from a developer’s point of view, with insights from Customer Service & Marketing Director Matt Grayson at Redrow.     💡 Listening to Luke Myer MP about the importance of quality as well as quantity when building new homes.    Thank you Baroness Ayesha Hazarika MBE for Chairing the discussion, and thank you Luke Myer MP, Matt Grayson, Andy Vernal, Emma Toms and Sara Hesp, for participating in the panel.   #newhomes #partyconferences #Labour #Conservative #newhomesqualityboard #consumerprotection #newhomesombudsman #consumerstandards #housebuilders #Lab24

We're in the running for a trio of awards at this year's Housebuilder Awards, hosted by Housebuilder Media, on October 31 🙌 Always hotly contested across the industry, the ceremony celebrates excellence in the homebuilding sector. We've been shortlisted for best customer satisfaction initiative and will be hoping to replicate our success in this category from last year. We're also delighted that our #Playmaking campaign to encourage outdoor play is a finalist for both best marketing initiative and best community initiative. Tom Roberts, head of communications at Redrow, said: “It’s always an honour to be shortlisted for these prestigious awards and we’re especially pleased to have been named as a finalist for best customer satisfaction initiative again, a category we won last year against strong competition. “Our efforts to provide the best experience for our customers continues to underpin everything we do, while our work to support communities has also been recognised.” Read more 👉 https://shorturl.at/0yzqU #HousebuilderAwards2024 #Homebuilding #ABetterWayToLive

🖌 Meet the Yorkshire winner of our Archi-tot competition! We’ve been on the hunt for an imaginative ‘Archi-tot of the future’ aged between four and 16, to design their very own house of the future. Ethan from Harrogate designed an eco-friendly home which featured solar panels to create energy, heating and air conditioning plus underground living spaces. Ethan said: "When I found out that I had won I was quite shocked. I had seen lots of the other drawings and they were very good. I would definitely think about being an architect when I grow up because I like doing the detailed drawings and the plans.” Read more here: https://bit.ly/3z5ngXR #ThrivingCommunities #ABetterWayToLive

Building thriving communities means supporting local causes like Birmingham Children's Hospital 💙 Our Midlands team raised £25,000 to help the hospital continue its vital work saving lives! Katie Harris, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We’re so grateful to Redrow Midlands for choosing to support our hospital with their fantastic golf day. They raised a phenomenal amount which will help us create better experiences for countless young people and sick children, through the improvement of our hospital environment and helping to fund new equipment and research.” Stuart Payne, Construction Director for Redrow Midlands, said: “This cause is deeply personal to some of our employees, who have directly benefited from the hospital's services and understand the critical impact it has on families in need." “It is our pleasure to be able to give such an amazing amount to help the hospital help others. This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the invaluable support of Redrow's sub-contractors and suppliers, for which we are deeply appreciative, and our secretary, Natalie Gillingwater, who organised the event.” Find out more about our donation here 👉 https://shorturl.at/Pzmw5 #ThrivingCommunities
