RPC completes key milestone in Swedish wind farm development We're pleased to announce the completion of foundation casting at Knäsjöberget wind farm – one of four projects under construction as part of our High Coast cluster in Västernorrland, Sweden. This marks a key milestone in the wind farm’s construction. Once completed, the 14 turbines at Knäsjöberget will produce approximately 280 GWh of clean, renewable energy annually. By 2026, RPC will have concluded all the works for the 4 wind farms in this cluster, adding an installed capacity of 553,4 MW of green electricity in total – enough to power more than 182,000 homes. Having reached this milestone at Knäsjöberget, we're on track to begin transportation, erection and installation works for the new turbines in early 2025. Stay tuned as we continue to drive the transition to renewable energy!

RPC’s goal of driving decarbonisation across Europe is made a reality through positive and meaningful local community engagement. Never was this more evident than last Saturday, when we brought together local residents, landowners, and key project stakeholders for the official inauguration of our Klevberget wind farm in Sweden. The celebration was a testament to both the strong partnership between RPC, KlevVind land association and Klevberget’s developer OX2 and the support of the local community in the Ånge municipality, with attendees enjoying food and festivities while getting to see the wind farm in action. Sweden is a priority market for RPC and we are committed to making further investments in the region. As our Head of Development for the Nordics Per Meijer puts, “we are committed to staying and growing here for many years to come.”

We are delighted to have closed a long-term €555m financing of our flagship 553MW onshore wind portfolio in Sweden. With this deal, which is one of the largest in Europe for a greenfield onshore wind portfolio, we have taken a crucial step forward in bringing these four projects online.   This is not only a milestone for the projects, but also for RPC as it marks our first long-term senior debt facility that covers both the construction and operation of a portfolio.   We’re delighted to be working with such impressive partners, whose confidence in RPC is a clear indication of our growing reputation as a key player in the renewables sector.    https://lnkd.in/ej-_tSaF

Grid flexibility is vital to enabling the energy transition in Europe, and something we at RPC are always looking to contribute to as we grow our footprint. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that our Merkkikallio wind farm is now successfully participating in the Manual Frequency Restoration Reserve (mFRR) down regulation market in Finland – a service dedicated to balancing the Finnish electricity grid. Finland has undergone an exciting and rapid expansion in its clean energy sector, meaning flexibility services that can support grid management are more important than ever. RPC’s participation in the mFRR market will help ensure that renewables effectively play their role in the Finnish energy system of the future, and for us marks a significant milestone in our Nordic portfolio. This important step is testament to the long-term relationships we forge, as RPC and our partner Alpiq work together to optimise Merkkikallio’s operations.
