Had an absolute blast at the RIBA Nerdworking x Nobody's Fool Mystery Games event hosted by RIBA London last evening! Material Lab transformed into Vice County High School for a thrilling 80s-themed murder mystery. The Nobody's Fool Mystery Games team created an engaging interactive experience where we all became high school seniors trying to solve the mysterious death of a brilliant mathlete. As head of the prom committee, I found myself at the center of the murder, dealing with missing people and possible murder weapons. What made the format particularly enjoyable was how beginner-friendly it was. Just three simple rules made everything flow smoothly: share your character information freely, keep secrets unless directly asked, and don't invent information. The genius twist? Even the killer didn't know they were the killer until the big reveal! This meant everyone could fully participate without trying to hide their guilt. It was great catching up with Rita Martínez Romero, Eliza Palos and Awni P. throughout the evening as we moved from table to table, gathering clues and trying to determine who had the means, motive, and opportunity to commit the crime. In the end, many of us were surprised by who committed the deadly deed, portrayed brilliantly by Charlotte Hollands! The interactive format kept us guessing until the very end. If you're looking for a unique networking experience that breaks the ice naturally and creates conversations beyond the usual small talk, I highly recommend keeping an eye out for the next Nerdworking event by RIBA. Shout out to Peter Greaves for chanelling his inner Joey Ramone last night! 😎 Tickets out now for the next Nerdworking event: https://lnkd.in/eex-ncCS #ribalondon #networking #architecture #mysterygames #nobodysfoolmysteries #professionalnetworking #creativenetworking #londonevents #architecturecommunity #riba

Chun-Li Reid's RIBA LIF funded project, Cooking with an architect continues with this compelling latest episode featuring architect Chris Hildrey. #RIBA #LIF
Life Transforming Innovation, Proxy Address! ✨ Cooking with an Architect is here! This time, we’re joined by Chris Hildrey, founder of Proxy Address, an innovative solution helping homeless individuals access essential services by providing them with a stable address. Without a fixed address, people struggle to open bank accounts, apply for jobs, or receive benefits—Proxy Address repurposes existing addresses to bridge this gap without affecting property rights. In this episode, we explore how design thinking can drive social impact, the challenges of tackling homelessness, and of course, a dish that brings it all together. Watch now to see how architecture and advocacy meet in the kitchen! ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/ezwPdEHc __________ Thank you to RIBA London LIF for sponsoring series 3 of Cooking with an Architect. #CookingWithAnArchitect #ProxyAddress #SocialImpact #DesignForGood RIBA #cooking #chef #architecture #architects #riba #homelessness

Last Chance to Support Archigram: The Magazine. Archigram: The Magazine is the first full facsimile of architecture’s most radical 1960s publication—which will be shared with the world this autumn. The editorial director for this project worked closely with Peter Cook and the late Dennis Crompton, ensuring every detail of Archigram’s playful, boundary-pushing design was faithfully recreated. Think: flyers, pockets, posters, gatefolds, the famous pop-up centerfold, and even an electronic resistor. After two years in the making, today marks the final day of their Kickstarter campaign, which has received an incredible response so far. To celebrate, RIBA members will receive an exclusive 40% discount, valid until the campaign’s conclusion this evening, Wednesday 19th March at 10pm. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this historic reissue—pledge now through the following link: https://lnkd.in/dfKkTixS .
