Our apprentices are going from strength to strength💥 With our next intake of apprentices joining us soon we were pleased to catch up with one of our current #groundworks apprentices Ben Edwards. Ben joined us earlier this year; splitting his time between college and getting hands-on with our #Worcestershire site team. 🧱 “I had a keen interest in construction before applying for the apprenticeship but only limited experience. I’m hoping the programme will open a lot of learning and career opportunities” 👷♂️”I’m learning a lot from the experienced groundworkers in my gang; it’s great to have support on site and we get on well” 🎓”The balance of time in college and being on site works well, we get a good understanding of tasks in the classroom to then put into practice in the real world” 🛣️”My ambition is to continue working in the field and become a Foreman; my priority is to get all relevant tickets throughout the apprenticeship and build on my skills learning from those around me; whilst pursuing my qualification in groundworks” 💯”I would definitely recommend the scheme to future apprentices, there has been support every step of the way from college tutors, the team on site and the office team at RM; I’ve learnt so much already and really enjoying the process” Keep an eye on our website for details of our next apprentice application window; we could be welcoming you to the team as we continue to invest in the careers of the next generation in construction! #rmcontractors #construction #groundworks #civilengineering #apprenticeship #careers

September surprising us with another week of sunshine in #Northamptonshire where we recently captured the latest plots to be handed over to our client HarperCrewe at their development progressing well in Higham Ferrers.   The programme consists of 98 plots plus associated road and sewers which will go on to form this new neighbourhood with excellent travel links and a range of homes carefully curated with efficiency, style and quality in mind🏠   We look forward to continuing our work on the project with our client in the coming months. #rmcontractors #groundworks #civilengineering #constructionuk #newhomes

We’re delighted to share that RM Contractors apprentice, Kian Lostitch was recently awarded the CITB Barry and Peggy High Scholarship after being recognised by the training board as an exceptional apprentice in his field 👏 Kian is now in the final stages of his two-year field based Service Engineer Apprenticeship with CITB, and we’re pleased to have offered him the opportunity to undertake this within our team. We welcomed Kian’s course tutor and mentor to our regional office in #Redditch to award the scholarship, which provides both financial and practical support beyond the apprenticeship. Plant Manager Dan Green commented… “Kian is extremely hard working and it’s been very encouraging to see him grow and develop his knowledge, skills and understanding of construction and heavy plant machinery over the past two years.
