And here's the second of our star apprentices - let's hear what Bruce has to say about working at RMSpumptools and James Fisher... I have worked at RMSpumptools for around seven months now and during this period I have seen various parts of the business and have had a chance to carry out a variety of tasks in the office and out in the workshop. I have enjoyed getting to know more about the business and what we sell, through on the job training and have also enjoyed the variety of tasks I have been asked to carry out as it has given me an overview of all aspects of the business. I’m proud of my college progress so far, having completed five out of the seven ICDL assessments while also working through my portfolio. I chose to do an apprenticeship as it means that I can learn new skills and gain more qualifications while I am carrying out my day-to-day activities in the workplace. My apprenticeship has helped me improve on my social skills as I am speaking to people in the workplace and getting in contact with various suppliers. I have enjoyed working with James Fisher as they have made me feel welcome and are also very helpful if I need any help with my college work. I had a chance to meet a few apprentices and some of the training team from James Fisher which was a good way to bond as a team and get to know about the other teams in the group. My team has made me feel welcome right from the start, they will always help if there are any problems that I am having. We have also had some external events such as the Christmas party and our celebration night at Codonas. This was a really good way to get to know one another outside of the workplace.

This week we are celebrating Scottish Apprentice Week 2024 and we are proud to show you two additions to our team in Aberdeen. Here's what Aedan has to say... I have been working at RMSpumptools now for five months and haven't looked back, l enjoy working with people who are older than me as I can learn from them and gain a level of understanding for what they do and how they do it. I'm proud of how I'm progressing with my college exams so far as I have passed both exams I've taken. I chose to do an apprenticeship as it's a very good way to progress into a company and develop my skills in many ways such as working together as a team. Working as an Apprentice has helped with my confidence levels by speaking with different people from different regions of the world.   I enjoy working with James Fisher as there are lots of helpful individuals throughout the organisation, whether this is helping me with college work or introducing me to different departments of James fisher. The team at RMSpumptools has made me feel welcome in many ways but the main way was after finishing a big project when we all got together and had pizza for lunch and played table tennis in the canteen. This was a perfect opportunity for me to get speaking to other people who didn’t sit near my desk and make me feel like I was part of the team.

It was great to be part of the recent SPE Thermal Well Integrity and Production Symposium at the Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta, Canada last week! Our showcase featured the latest advancements in high-temperature solutions for Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage. A highlight was the recognition of our Auto Diverter Valve (ADV), an innovative product that has significantly impacted the #SAGD market. Our unique offering represents an industry-first in catering to the ultra high-temperature demand of this sector.   The insightful technical presentations from Operators not only underscored the efficiency of our ADV, but also its crucial role in enhancing #ThermalWellIntegrity. This event was a testament to our commitment to pioneering solutions in challenging environments!   For detailed information on our high-temperature products or to discuss how we can work together, please reach out to our in-country manager: jonny.murty@rmspumptools.com   @Society of Petroleum Engineers International #InnovativeEngineering #OilandGas #HighTemperatureSolutions
