Rotherham is proud of its coal and steel heritage and continues to have a strong manufacturing presence in the form of the Advanced Manufacturing Park. Rotherham is well underway with the implementation of its Masterplan for its Town Centre which sets plans for major developments from a vibrant leisure quarter, attractive outdoor spaces and high quality living. • Head of Housing Improvement and Governance Salary: (£62,661 - £66,916 (pay award pending)) Directorate: Adult Care, Housing & Public Health Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week. It couldn’t be a more important and exciting time to join the team here at Rotherham. It’s a wonderful place, with its eyes set firmly on the future. We built our first council homes in 1919, and now we are one of the largest providers of Council housing in the country – with 20,000 homes in our stock. With one of the largest stock increase programmes in the country, a busy homelessness service and as a major social landlord, housing is a big part of what the Council does. We care deeply about residents’ experience of our services and we know we need to adapt and improve to respond to new challenges and the changing regulatory landscape – and so we are creating this brand new service in the Housing Directorate to bring together our improvement, governance and tenant involvement work.    The role     As Head of Housing Improvement and Governance you will have overall responsibility for strategic improvement and transformation activities, regulatory assurance, and ensuring customer experience is at the heart of everything we do. https://lnkd.in/eyUZAKkE
