We’re excited to announce the RHS and Radio 2 Dog Garden designed by Monty Don for RHS Chelsea 2025! 🐕 This will be the first RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden to be designed by Gardeners’ World’s Monty Don, one of Britain’s best loved gardeners, whose deep affection for dogs (and his golden retriever Ned) is widely known. Monty shared his thoughts with us on his inspiration for the garden: “This is an irresistible opportunity to join with the RHS and Radio 2 to share my love of gardens and dogs at the world’s greatest horticultural event. Along with the superb [Form Plants] team headed by Jamie Butterworth we shall be making a garden that is inspired by Longmeadow and my own dogs but above all a celebration of the way that so many of us share our gardens with our canine companions.” Following #RHSChelsea 2025, the garden will live on just across the river at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home for all the rescue dogs and the people who work and volunteer there to enjoy for generations to come! • What does your green space say about you? 🌱 At today's RHS Autumn Press Conference, we announced our theme for 2025, 'Your Space, Your Story', which will celebrate the individuality and diversity of gardeners across the country. From allotment lovers to houseplant hoarders, we want to be there for every type of gardener to provide advice and inspiration. Access to green spaces can enhance our lives, health, happiness and environment. That's why, as part of the Your Space, Your Story campaign, we'll be calling on the Government to recognise the importance of gardens as part of their scheme to build 1.5 million new homes. Find out more about our plans to call for the provision of green spaces to be included in the Government's housebuilding targets: https://lnkd.in/d4BHQgAU #RHS #YourSpaceYourStory

  • The results of the RHS Britain In Bloom UK Finals 2024 are in! Bath, the inaugural winners of Britain in Bloom, have once again been crowned champions in the 60th anniversary year of the RHS's nationwide gardening competition 🏆 52 finalists from across the UK competed in 11 categories including Coastal and Urban Community. The results were announced tonight on BBC's The One Show. Sarah Galvin, RHS Head of National Community Programmes, said: “Bath in Bloom showed not only outstanding horticultural displays but also great dedication to their community and the environment. Over the past six decades Britain in Bloom has evolved from what many saw as a rural hanging basket competition to a major socio-environmental campaign that is improving villages, towns and cities across the UK.” Huge congratulations to all the winners 👏 See the full list on our website: https://lnkd.in/dKyYfS-s #RHSBloom60 #RHSBritainInBloom
