Saab receives order from the British Army to support live training in Oman This battlegroup-sized order reinforces the significant investment through ILT-D and represents the latest equipment in Saab’s portfolio. The high-fidelity system brings realism to training through the accurate replication of engagements. This provides confidence in the data that is captured, ensuring that activity is measurable and can be exploited to enhance training outcomes through the After Action Review process. Fully interoperable with the Royal Army of Oman’s Saab system, the capability will support combined training exercises at the point of need. It is deployable globally and offers the flexibility to support the British Army’s Land Training System outside of Oman. The new capability will be delivered to support training in 2025. Saab UK Training and Simulation recently deployed back to Estonia to support British Army training – the 3rd time in 2024. The multinational battlegroup exercise included the Estonian Army. As another valued Saab user, this ensured full interoperability between training systems. In addition, a French sub unit was fitted with Saab’s live simulation equipment. Saab’s highly deployable capability, which includes contractor services, means that training is instrumented at the point of need to enable objective feedback and validation.

Discover the greatest survival story ever told. This Saturday at the British Film Institute (BFI), #EnduranceFilm tells the astounding story of polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton’s legendary expedition, as a team of modern-day explorers search for his sunken ship. Saab’s Sabertooth played a pivotal role in the search.
