“It is important that you don’t feel afraid to say ‘Do you feel like taking your own life?’, because it won’t put the idea in their mind. To bring it out in the open, it relieves the situation, it takes the pressure out of the tyre.”   As part of our campaign to reduce stigma around suicide, Jonny Tatam-Hall - who lost his friend, Tom, to suicide - interviewed Ruby Wax, mental health advocate, founder and patron of Frazzled UK and author of ‘I’m Not As Well as I thought I was’, on her experiences of suicidality.   Ruby shares how important it is to seek help and #StartTheConversation if you’re worried about someone. You can watch the full video and find resources to help you to start the conversation on our stigma and suicide webpage: https://lnkd.in/etm7wq_J #StartTheConversation #LanguageMatters #SuicidePrevention #Stigma #LivedExperience #SuicideBereavement #Suicidality #ReachOut

  • It’s Brew Monday today, and while we really do love a cuppa, today is so much bigger than the brew itself, we’re not just obsessed with tea, we promise.💚 Brew Monday is all about the moments that happen around the brew, and the small but mighty power that asking ‘shall we have a cuppa and chat?’ can have. It’s about showing someone you have time for them and that they matter to you. It’s giving someone space to show up as they are, whether it’s a good or bad day. It’s about having a laugh together (over things like the silly amounts of milk your work mate has in their brew). It's all about these little moments, that are actually pretty big. After all, they help make our day to day just a little bit easier. Especially when times are tough. That’s why we love Brew Monday, it reminds us we’re not alone.

    • Reach out to a colleague who...

is a new starter
always seems OK
Doesn't seem themself
Is having a hard time personally
Has a lot on
Has just come back to work
  • Blue Monday isn’t real, don’t believe the hype you see today! This so-called ‘most depressing day of the year’ is a myth created in 2005 by a travel company to sell holidays. No science, no truth – just a marketing gimmick, and it feeds unhelpful stereotypes about mental health. We’ve got absolutely no time for it! So help us make space for something better and join us for ✨Brew Monday✨ instead. Our bad days aren’t for the calendar to decide, and our mental health doesn’t fit neatly into the calendar. But checking in with our friends, family, colleagues and having a proper chat can make a real difference. Share this post and help us show that being there for each other beats a marketing gimmick, any day of the year!

    • This Brew Monday, reach out and show some love to the ones who...

Listen when you need it

Always have a bit of time for you

Make you belly laugh

Feel like home, no matter how long it's been

Sit with you through the highs and lows
  • The drink chart has spoken! Do you agree with your Brew Monday drink or are you ready to debate in the comments? 🤣 Honestly… we’re just trying to get your attention before Brew Monday tomorrow. The drink you have doesn’t matter really, it’s all about making a bit of time for each other, so if you’re doing that, then you’re doing it right! 💚 (We still want to know what you think of your drink though 👀)

  • We need your help with Brew Monday again this year! Every year we see lots of talk around 'Blue Monday' and we’re fed up with it because we know it isn’t real. Our bad days don’t have anything to do with a made-up day in January. With your help we’re ready to take over the day again. ☕ All you have to do is join us on 20 January and reach out for a cuppa and catch up with friends, colleagues or family! You can help us get the word out by sharing your photos and stories on social. Stay tuned for more. 👀

💚 This year, we’re proud to be supporting Samaritans #BrewMonday campaign by encouraging everyone to ‘Take Three’ - take the time it takes to brew a cuppa to check in and connect with someone, whether that’s over the phone or in person. ☕ Our research reveals that nearly half (43%) of workers rarely share tea breaks with colleagues, missing out on a simple yet powerful opportunity to connect. 💬 Let’s change that! Schedule a tea break this Monday and use it to check in with someone - you never know the difference it could make. https://lnkd.in/eNcdr2kg

  • You don’t need a 2024 highlight reel to feel proud of yourself 💚 Take a moment to reflect on the small wins, because they matter just as much as the big ones. Maybe it was getting out of bed on a day that felt really heavy. Perhaps it was opening up when it felt easier to stay quiet. Or even just pausing to breathe when things felt overwhelming. These moments are worth celebrating. They’re proof of your resilience, even if they didn’t feel big at the time. Share something you’re proud of from 2024 in the comments 👇 We’re proud of every little victory. And we’re here for you, always.
