Another project milestone this week with piling underway at The Lampworks on Great Hampton Street in Birmingham. SBK Consulting Ltd are carrying out civil and structural engineering design for Cordia UK, in conjunction with buildfifty5 ltd. The build-to-rent development will deliver 148 apartments alongside courtyards and communal spaces, and will be an exciting addition to the local area. Architectural design by BPN Architects.

As 2024 comes to close, SBK Consulting Ltd reflect on what has been an exciting year for Pricilla and the team. As always a great variety of projects across business sectors, with some of the earliest SBK projects reaching practical completion, and new developments breaking ground on site. There have been some fantastic events attended with great speakers, and even more entertaining guests. Our team continues to grow with 8 new starters during the year, and as such we moved into a fantastic new office still in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter. (Open invitation for visiting - get in touch!) So we raise a glass to 2024, and look forward to a successful 2025, and wish all of our friends, clients & collaborators a Happy New Year. 🦍

It's always good to see your projects progressing on site, but I will get opportunities to see this one every day as this photo was taken from the SBK Consulting Ltd office window. Piling is underway at the corner of Tenby Street & Albion Street in the heart of Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, carried out by M & D FOUNDATIONS & BUILDING SERVICES LIMITED for Kavannagh Construction. The project will deliver a 5-storey building with 37 apartments along with new office premises for Charles Green UK, and is lead by Rainier Developments and Strategic Land. SBK have been appointed by Kavannagh to deliver construction stage detailed design, working alongside BDP (Building Design Partnership Ltd) who are carrying out architectural services.
