All the way back in May Queen Mary Careers and Enterprise invited the PR agency firstlight for a session as part of their QTaster programme, which explored the world of PR and what it was like working for the agency. Following the event, I got in touch with them, hoping that they would have an opportunity for me to work with them. As a result of this event, I managed to secure myself a work experience opportunity with firstlight 🎉🎉 I started my work experience on Monday and wasted no time getting stuck into some agency work. Josie Workman kindly let me sit in on some of her internal meetings, where I got an amazing insight into some projects that Firstlight are working on. I also got work on some tasks for their clients ranging from social media posts to identifying media targets. It’s proving to be an great experience so far, and I am very grateful to the Firstlight team for giving me this opportunity. A huge thank you to the QM careers team, including Anna Fons Garcia for setting up sessions like this to give students direct exposure to employers. #PR #marketing #workexperience #career #agency #queenmary

🌟 Celebrating a Milestone 🌟 I am thrilled to share that I have completed my master’s degree from Queen Mary University of London in MSc International Marketing and Business Strategies with Distinction! 🎓✨ The transition to a new country and academic environment has been fruitful and exciting. Studying in a vibrant, diverse city like London offered more than just educational knowledge; it opened my mind to new perspectives, allowed me to connect with people from all over the world, and deepened my passion for marketing. From late-night study sessions to navigating a bustling city, every moment has contributed to shaping my skills and character. This journey has been a blend of challenges and growth. I was able to take my experience from working at a marketing agency into the courses I studied and apply concepts to the brands I worked with.
