(Sponsored) “Sometimes having a trainee can be seen as taxing to a school’s resources. Teach First trainees are different. In our schools, they were leading projects, suggesting and contributing their skills to the education that our schools offer.” Johanne Clifton, Head of Curriculum and Virtual Learning, Elliot Foundation Academies Trust. Teach First can help your school with teacher recruitment. Not only will they do all the recruitment work for you, but they’ll deliver a trainee teacher who is ready to hit the ground running, and has all the dedication, commitment and skill required to become a brilliant teacher for your school and your pupils. 🚨 Exclusive: The chair of the Oracy Commission has said he is 'reassured' the issue will be 'woven into' the curriculum review's final report, after the interim document failed to mention it. Geoff Barton, the former leader of the leaders’ union ASCL and chair of last year’s commission, told an event this week he had spoken to review chair Professor Becky Francis on Monday. Labour announced in 2023 that the review would embed “digital, oracy and life skills” in children’s learning. But campaigners were surprised when the review’s interim report, published last week, did not mention it. https://buff.ly/I5JpoZJ
