🚀 We have launched our inaugural MedTech Venture Builder programme, funded by Research England. In a UK first, 12 companies have been selected to undertake the ground-breaking, 12-month programme that will provide the structures that are critical to building a robust MedTech company. The MedTech Venture Builder is a collaborative effort delivered by a consortium made up of four partner institutions, with King's College London as the lead and working in partnership with Queen Mary University of London, City, University of London, and St George's, University of London, to create a Collaborative Centre of Excellence (CCoE) for Medical Device translation. SEHTA PR: Science & Engineering Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA) announces the appointment of our new Health Technology Research Analyst. SEHTA is delighted to announce that we have formally appointed Nayera Ahmed as our new Health Technology Research Analyst as of today, Monday 9th September 2024. After completing a Master’s degree in Chemistry from University College London, Nayera joins us from NIHR, where her role was as a Business Analyst for the last 3 years. Nayera helped innovators with the navigation of the healthcare landscape. Her role at SEHTA is to support innovators with acceleration from concept to commercialisation. Neil Roberts, Managing Director, SEHTA, says “On behalf of SEHTA, we are delighted to welcome Nayera to the team and we look forward to introducing her to our members over the coming months”.

Science & Engineering Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA)'s MD Neil Roberts alongside London Institute for Healthcare Engineering's Head of Clinical Translation and Governance Valentina Vitiello are this afternoon presenting to a delegation of CEO's from the Finnish Welfare District during their visit to the UK. Valentina is speaking about LIHE and the Venture Builder and MedTech Accelerator Programmes and Neil is giving the CEO's an overview of SEHTA and how we've been supporting the Finnish healthcare sector along with Business Finland since 2016 and an update on the UK Health System. Thank you to Nico Vehmas, Meria Heikelä and Janna Mure for organising this visit to the UK.
