Our Annual Review and High Sheriff Awards on Wednesday was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on how lucky we are to have a strong voluntary sector in Suffolk and how much their work helps communities in so many ways. Times are difficult for many at the moment so showing local charititable organisations some appreciation and support will go a long way. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
Yesterday, over 250 donors, supporters, partners, charities and voluntary organisations gathered at The Apex, Bury St Edmunds for Suffolk Community Foundation's Annual Review and High Sheriff's Awards. What an inspirational afternoon it was, THANK YOU to everyone who came! 💜 Mark Murphy MBE was our fabulous compere, and we enjoyed fantastic music from an extremely talented group of young people thanks to the Suffolk Philharmonic Orchestra. Thank you to Gavin Stone, from For Children & Young People (4YP) who gave an excellent key note speech on the challenges facing teenagers and young adults today in Suffolk. We also heard from our Chair, George Vestey and our CEO, Hannah Bloom. The High Sheriff's Awards celebrated four exceptional charities working in the county. We would like to congratulate Restore Women's Aid, The Nest Farms, HEADWAY SUFFOLK and Ipswich Outreach on their deserving wins. Yesterday would not have been possible without our sponsors; thank you CCLA Investment Management, Rathbones Group Plc, East Anglian Daily Times, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines and Debach Enterprises Limited. Finally, the event gave us the opportunity to celebrate our 20th anniversary and all that has been achieved in the last two decades. We are extremely grateful to everyone who has played a part along the way. Thank you to everyone who came, we hope you enjoyed it and see you next year! 📸 Cherry Beesley - Simply C Photography - Commercial Branding and Food Photographer • #SCFAR25 #suffolkcharities #charitablegiving #LocalImpact
