Transforming the relationship between business and people

About us

The social side of sustainability - the human side - is all about the impact companies have on people. People in their workforce, across their supply chain, and in the communities in which they operate. We work with leading companies to make a difference for the people they depend on to operate and grow. We develop insights and create strategies that enable our clients to navigate today’s toughest social challenges, from fueling economic opportunity to ensuring a just transition to respecting human rights. And we help them engage and inspire others to accomplish more than they could on their own.

With new due diligence and reporting requirements coming into effect, is the S in ESG finally beginning to get the attention it deserves? And how will this affect the focus and nature of companies’ social sustainability work? Please participate in a brief 3-5 minute survey designed to gauge how business approaches to social sustainability are evolving, and what companies need to be successful. For example: 🔎 In which social issues will companies invest most heavily over the next few years? 🔎 How are regulatory requirements affecting the nature of social sustainability programming? 🔎 To what extent are companies integrating social impacts into environmental strategies? Tell us what you think! The survey will be open until January 31. https://lnkd.in/gMbhX-Fj

  • Proud to share that SocialSide partner Kate Tallant Meier will be speaking about the work she's been leading for the new Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD) at the Business for Societal Impact (B4SI) annual conference. Investors, regulators, civil society stakeholders and companies themselves increasingly recognize how important the social side of sustainability is - both in its own right and as a means of achieving environmental sustainability goals like alleviating the climate crisis and nature loss. Join Kate's panel to hear how the social agenda is poised to evolve.

We are pleased to share the Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD) officially launched on Friday with an announcement of its new Co-Chairs Arunma (AEEM) Oteh Peter Bakker Sharan Burrow and Gabriela Ramos! We’re incredibly proud of the role our colleague Kate Tallant Meier has played in bringing this global initiative to fruition in collaboration with TISFD’s Founding Partners.   The TISFD is poised to do for people what the TCFD and TNFD have done for climate and nature, respectively—influencing regulatory developments and disclosure standards, guiding companies to understand and report on their people-related impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities more effectively, and boosting investor confidence in their portfolios in a world of rapid social change.   Stay tuned for the TISFD’s next steps: ✨ Seating the Steering Committee ✨ Equipping stakeholders with the knowledge they need to engage effectively in the Taskforce’s work ✨ Developing and testing a global social disclosure framework and body of evidence to support business and finance leaders on using the framework   We truly believe in the potential of this initiative to drive a step change in understanding, rigor and results on the social side of sustainability, which is key to also unlocking progress on climate and nature.   See the link below to watch the launch webinar where TISFD's new Co-Chairs and Kate discuss their vision for the Taskforce and how you can engage moving forward!
