We believe in a sustainable future shaped by environmental professionalism through CEnv, REnvP and REnvTech registration
About us
The Society for the Environment (SocEnv) is an umbrella body licensing professional institutions to register their members as Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) and Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech) registrants. There are now over 7,500 registered environmental professionals across the globe. Both professional registrations above require individuals to demonstrate their skills, experience and knowledge of the environment and sustainability by demonstrating how they meet the key competences outlined in the application process. 24 professional bodies are currently licensed to carry out assessments for registering a CEnv, covering engineering, construction, environmental management, ecology, environmental sciences, agriculture, fisheries, water, energy, wastes and resource management, surveying, arboriculture and forestry. Only professional members of recognised institutions are eligible to register as a CEnv, REnvP or REnvTech. The aim is to ensure that professionals whose activities have an impact on the environment exercise their skills and knowledge to minimise harmful effects using established best practice and innovative new approaches. To find out more about becoming a CEnv, REnvP or REnvTech - or indeed a licensed professional body, please visit our website: www.socenv.org.uk

Congratulations to IEMA for 25 years of transforming the environmental and sustainability profession! 🎉
IEMA was formed 25 years ago this week... Since 1999, the #environment and #sustainability profession has been transformed, moving from the fringes of the global economy, right to the centre. Our membership has been instrumental in setting the standard for environment and sustainability professionals, ensuring we evolve and adapt to challenges from a local to global level. Over the coming weeks, we will feature content created with a range of the longest standing (and some more recent) IEMA members discussing key moments for the environment and sustainability profession over the last 25 years.
