It’s that time of year again – Winter Groundwater Monitoring season is upon us. Local Planning Authorities across the south of England are increasingly calling for monitoring of groundwater levels from October through March. This info feeds both in to soakaway designs, as they must be designed to handle peak winter level, and the LPA may also require monitoring in areas of groundwater flood risk. We advise all our clients to be proactive in collecting the best possible range of monitoring data covering those key winter months. Without it, there is a risk of an entire years’ delay until such conditions can be captured again.
