Unfortunately, all training sessions and meetings have been cancelled for the time being, to allow Vickie Deeks (deaf) to prepare for, and undergo, chemotherapy treatment. As mental health and wellbeing (through lived experience), is the heart and drive of Sound Training Solutions, this will be the priority. Looking forward to working with you again at some point in the future. We don't always say the right things or even know where to start... But, if we ask the same question, 'How are you?', we're likely to get the same response of, 'I'm fine'. Why? Because we have to feel a connection or in a 'safe zone' to open up about our real issues. Crazy thoughts go through our minds, like: 💀 What if they judge me? 💀 'What if they suggest I'm being pathetic or ridiculous?' 💀 'It's my business, so I'll just deal with it' 💀 'I don't want to burden anyone' 💀 'What if they tell someone?' We want to give support to others. How do we talk to someone that's just left a relationship, had a recent bereavement, struggling financially, is unable to have kids...and so on? What do we say? Finding the words is often very tricky, so maybe just use alternative words to let them know you care. Remember, this is a universal process as we're all dealing with something that we might not talk about 😢 A kind gesture is to send a random text/email to someone you might not have seen or spoken to for a while. Just a quick 'Hi', 'Beer after work?' or 'Fancy a coffee?' could work wonders. It's easy to get into the whole 'Why should I start it when they never bother with me?' debate, but if everyone feels like this, we're never going to move forward 😔 Be the first to get it started! 🎶 People all over the world, join hands, start a talk train...a talk train 🚂 Why not book one of my: 'Talk the Talk', customised training sessions, to discuss this topic further? Alternatively, you can book my online event, starting on Sunday 24th November at 6.30pm (running every Sunday and Monday until 6th January 2025) - further details in comments 😀 💡 Looking to book insightful training for your team, that consists of visual representations and delivered by a deaf teacher? All customised sessions are one hour, or a combination of sessions can be blended and delivered for two hours or half a day, either in the day, evening or weekend, online or in person at your workplace! Here's the current list: 💡Transform, Adapt and Evolve as Leaders 💡The Art of Detachment 💡Unravel Your Rivalry 💡The Science of Communication 💡Sound in the Workplace 💡Inclusion 💡Mental Health and Wellbeing 💡The First Arrow Always Hits 💡Mindful vs Mind Full 💡Mental Diet 💡Abuse (domestic; mental and physical) 💡Suicide Awareness 💡The Science of Sound 💡Loneliness and Isolation 💡Deaf/Hearing Loss and Tinnitus Awareness 💡Mindset Detox 💡Talk the Talk For more information, please contact me at: soundtrainingsolutions@mail.com, or text/WhatsApp: 07447 294832 💙 #talk #communication #social #text #imfine #bethatperson #mentalhealth #talkthetalk #training #customised

'Sound Support' is available for the backbone of your company... ...the employees 🙌 Their wellbeing should always be a top priority, but how can you ensure all staff are catered for? Whether regular/irregular, or unsocial hours are worked, 'Sound Support' sessions at Sound Training Solutions can be booked at any time to suit various shift patterns, either online or in person. Mental health and wellbeing is a major issue for all staff, regardless of job role, but for those that work unsocial hours, there are additional factors to take into account... 🙌 Sleep patterns/eating habits 🙌 Family/relationships could be in jeopardy, or strained 🙌 Fatigue, lack of concentration 🙌 Loneliness/isolation, due to lack of interaction with colleagues (depending on job role) 🙌 Disorientation Why not book one hour, two hours or even half a day slot so staff can drop in when they wish, either on a 1:1, small group or team basis? All employees need to feel valued. What better way than to put their wellbeing needs first! Let's work together on this. Collaborations and partnerships welcome! For more information, please contact Vickie Deeks (deaf) at: soundtrainingsolutions@mail.com, or text/WhatsApp: 07447 294832 💙 #customisation #training #bespoke #employees #wellbeing #mentalhealth #nightshifts #mentalhealthatwork #unsocialhours #soundsupport

You can't lose if you don't give up. Without resilience - you won't find success. 📺 Netflix was rejected by 1,000 investors. 🕊️ Rovio failed with 51 games before Angry Bird. 🚗 Tesla nearly went bankrupt 3 times. Resilience is the number 1 skill to develop as an entrepreneur. You need to be able to keep a positive attitude through rejections. These companies are just a small selection. Every huge business you see today had a tough beginning. Despite what many might tell you on social media... Success is not a result of luck. It's about not giving up. To develop that resilience, follow these 7 laws as an entrepreneur: 1. If you're struggling to understand something, ask Google. 2. Learn something new every single day. 3. The dream job doesn't always feel like the dream job. 4. You will have to repeat yourself. A lot. 5. Life is not a zero-sum game. I don't have to fail for you to succeed. 6. Have a powerful why. Then the how is easy. 7. Just don't stop until you win. If you follow these, you have every chance to succeed. Do you agree? Let me know ⬇️  ♻️ Repost this if you found it inspiring. November is 'Men's Mental Health Month' 💔 'I'm dealing with it' 'Just leave it' 'I'll sort it in my own way' 'Sound here, mate' 'Nah, I don't talk about sh*t like that' Do you recognise yourself yet? 👆 Do you recognise other people? Your dad, partner, brother, son, nephew, uncle, grandad, mates, colleagues, neighbours, and so on... If you can't find the solution to your own issues right now, maybe focus your time and energy on supporting those around you? It's good to talk. It's good to listen. Let's work on both. Statistics show that people (of all ages), are more likely to experience feeling a bit low on Sundays, Mondays and bank holiday weekends, especially between late afternoon to evening. Some life factors that can lead to low moods, feeling negative and thoughts of suicide are: 💔 Financial problems 💔 Relationship issues 💔 Chronic pain, illness and disabilities 💔 Abuse and/or violence 💔 Isolation and loneliness 💔 Loss of a feeling, person, sense, etc Approximately 155 people are affected by every suicide, and the devastation left behind can last a lifetime, including feelings of guilt and shame in not supporting someone enough, or even knowing they were struggling. Suicidal thoughts are not so much a focus on death, but more about seeing absolutely no alternative to the current living situation, or hope in the future 💚 The truth is, we don't want to burden people with our inner pain, for fear of being judged or called 'attention seekers', with the extremely taboo nature of the topic. The smile? A classic disguise, and ultimate sign of confidence. Appearing confident, joining in and acting like everything is fine works a treat...standard behaviour. A good tip is to start to open up gradually, by throwing a couple of: 'I'm struggling a bit, if I'm honest' or 'I don't feel like myself right now' comments out in the open. If you don't get the response you need from someone you know, try opening up to someone you don't know, by contacting any of the following organisations: * Support, resources and/or meet ups * 💛 Mates in Mind ❤️ #ANDYSMANCLUB - email: info@andysmanclub.co.uk, for details of meetings near you 🩶 Movember * Online events/training * 💙 Sound Training Solutions - book onto my 'Mental Diet; The Road Ahead' online event: https://lnkd.in/dCFWuk8C (every Sunday and Monday from 24th November to 6th January 2025, at 6.30pm) * Contact numbers for support * 🧡 Mind - call: 0300 123 3393 💜 Shout UK - text: 85258 💙 Samaritans - call: 116 123 🖤 PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide text: 07860 039967 or call: 0800 068 4141 🧡 SOS Silence of Suicide - call: 0808 115 1505 💚 NHS - call: 111 Don't suffer in silence ❤️🩹 You matter 💙 Be kind ✨️ Support others 💝 #help #support #chat #suicide #men #mensmentalhealth #openup #suicideawareness #talk #workplace #movember #afterlife #mentalhealth #stigmas #bekind #depression #anxiety
