Protecting the health of our staff, members and residents; maintaining critical services; supporting local businesses.
About us
South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) is a local authority in England which exists to serve the best interests of our residents. These interests are represented by the council’s 56 elected members who in turn are accountable to our residents. In the aftermath of the Coronavirus crisis we have three clear priorities: • to protect the health of our staff, our members and our residents; • to maintain our critical services; and • to support our local businesses. Every decision we make supports these priorities and is centred on protecting lives and livelihoods. Putting people first is what we are committed to doing as a Council. We are achieving these priorities with such clarity, purpose and efficiency that we are gaining recognition for the results of our work at both a national and a regional level. We want to help South Kesteven to grow. A growing population and a growing economy creates jobs, secures infrastructure and attracts investment. More housing means more council tax and more businesses means more business rates. Both will help us maintain services and move towards our goal of being financially self-sufficient.

The lorry carries the Prostate Cancer UK 30-second risk check message that can save lives, along with a link to the #charity website for more information. It’s a colourful demonstration of our continuing #commitment to promoting #health awareness and will operate alongside its bright pink freighter launched last year to spread awareness of breast #cancer.

We were delighted to support Dennis Eagle’s fundraising and awareness raising activities for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💗 Our bright pink waste freighter carries a vital health message across 365sq of South Kesteven every day.
Last week, Dennis Eagle and TMUK sites across the UK turned pink for ‘Wear it Pink’ 👚day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💖 🚛 With the help of the fabulous DE pink truck, kindly loaned by South Kesteven District Council SKDC and showcased in Warwick and Blackpool, we came together to raise awareness and funds for life-changing breast cancer research and support. A huge thank you to all our amazing colleagues who participated in this important cause. Together, we raised an incredible £1,260 for Breast Cancer Now! 🎉 #DennisEagle #TerbergMatecUK #BreastCancerAwareness #WearItPink #Fundraising
