Male hygiene bins are available in public toilets across South Tyneside to support men who need to dispose of incontinence products discreetly. This means that males in our communities who wear stoma bags or live with incontinence will be offered discreet and sanitary ways to dispose of hygiene products. ⭐Boldon CA were one of the very first to install these for their centre users. Our Business and Community Response team, along with Project Shield CCTV and local Police, successfully worked together last weekend to address anti-social behaviour in the town centre, parks, and seafront. Key activities included: 🚫Ensuring that licensed establishments verified the ages of all patrons. 🍾Removing alcohol from several minors. 🚓The arrest of an individual following an assault, with our responders providing assistance to the officer until a unit arrived. 😊Additionally, responders engaged with younger people, keeping them updated in their role of providing safety and assistance when needed. 💻ASB can be reported at https://lnkd.in/ethFfhvv. 🚨In an emergency call the Police on 999 👏Excellent team work #SouthTyneside

Well Done Philip 👏 Amazing achievement and thank you for sharing your lived experience. #SouthTyneside
It has been just over week since South Tyneside Council held it's annual PROUD Awards. The night is one where together officers and members celebrate some of the best achievements of the past year, both from an individual and team perspective. I was extremely PROUD and honoured to have made it to the final three and be shortlisted for the organisation-wide "Values" Award. On this occasion I came up a little short and was not announced as the eventual winner. Initially I was naturally disappointed, however I quickly reflected on what I had personally achieved in less than 3-years with the authority. Over this period I have worked hard and shown determination whilst also learning a great deal and being open to feedback - Both as part of my core job role as well as in a voluntary capacity. By continuing to give my all whilst staying grounded and showing the right attitude I am more motivated than ever before to succeed. I am truly excited to see what the rest of the year and my future career at South Tyneside Council has to offer. On a final note, congratulations to all of the winners, shortlisted teams and individuals as well as those who were nominated - not to mention Chris Manns, Claire McLaren and the entire People & Organisational Change (POC) Service. #proudvalues #proudawards #teamwork #2025andbeyond
