About us

We are an exploratory architectural design studio that believes space unites us. Space unites us, gets us talking, stimulates our imaginations and weaves us back into a relationship with our planet. Proud to be a Certified B Corporation 🌍 💼 Reimagining architecture and design means looking sideways and making unexpected connections to generate big leaps that will drive us all forward. And that’s what we’re interested in. Each and every space we create is uniquely different, and each has the power to positively transform people’s lives. We create award-winning, innovative built environments, experiences and forms at every scale; inventive solutions that deliver value in all the right areas. spacelab_ is part of the lab_ collective.

  • "A welcoming lounge that blends flexibility with creativity, where brand is showcased in an informal, collaborative space that sparks conversation and connection."  – Alice Wells, Senior Interior Designer At Moss Bros., we designed a tiered amphitheatre within their collaborative working lounge, which is the first landing point upon arrival to the office. Day to day, the monolithic plastered tiers act as slick product display, showcasing their latest lines. The plinths double up as seating for townhall meetings, events or even perching solo. Introducing Things to Know About - a new series celebrating the distinctive details that set our workspaces apart. Every building we represent has a story to tell, from its rich history to hidden neighbourhood gems like a must-visit coffee shop or an unbeatable rooftop view. We believe the best workspaces are more than just four walls, they offer an experience. The first in our ‘Things to Know About’ series is Primrose Hill Works NW1. Located on the picturesque Gloucester Avenue, you can start your day with a coffee from GAIL's at the front of the building before taking a stroll along Regent’s Canal to Camden Market for lunch. End the day with an after-work drink on the rooftop terrace, enjoying sweeping views of London. After a successful move into 41 Tabernacle Street, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who supported us during our move. A massive appreciation to the superstars at Spec who put it all together for us! And, to all the suppliers and manufacturers who helped to make it feel like home. A whopping 94% of our furniture was from re-homed, recycled and salvaged materials and products. In a collaborative partnership with our friends at Whitepaper, we have created something special for MOSS at their new HQ in Camden. MOSS wanted a refined workspace that blends style with purpose; reflecting their core values and providing the functionality to drive lean sample management. Clothing is designed, prototyped, fitted and photographed in the centre of the floor plate, allowing everyone to be connected with the inner workings of the business. The layout encourages activity-based working with a dedicated library, a collaborative working lounge and a centralised social space in the centre with 1-1 booths and flexible cafe-style furniture. • ✨New year, new studio! ✨ 2025 marks our move into 41 Tabernacle Street – a Victorian townhouse nestled between Old Street and Moorgate. You can't miss its charming blue frontage. But, this isn’t just a change of address; it’s about rethinking how we work, create, and impact the world. The design of our new space is all about reusing, recycling, and reducing waste. We’ve begged, borrowed and tried not to buy new, with a commitment to making every decision count. Our ‘not so new’ studio opens its doors next week. Please pop by and say hello.
