IP Backed Lending.....NatWest....News to Me! So I knew that IP backed lending was becoming a "thing" but I never knew NatWest were in on the game too. I'm guessing many of you might not know either, so here we are! (If you already knew, then keep scrolling, but feel free to still drop me a like! 🤣) NatWest has introduced a financing option for innovative, asset light businesses....loans secured against IP. Simples..... 😺 Developed with IP valuation specialists Inngot, this funding allows companies to leverage their valuable IP, such as software, patents, or trademarks, as collateral. Businesses can borrow from £250,000 upwards, typically up to 50% of the professionally assessed IP value, provided the IP valuation exceeds £500,000. Loans usually run up to four years, with competitive interest rates compared to traditional unsecured loans. A recent standout example is Manchester-based edu-tech company Northcoders, which has just secured a £1.5m finance package from NatWest, including a £1m IP backed loan. This enabled Northcoders to significantly reduce borrowing costs and fund its expansion into new training programs focused on data engineering, AI, and machine learning. If your business has valuable IP, this could be your secret weapon for accelerating growth without giving away equity. Worth a look into if you ask me. #IP #Moneymoneymoney
