Happy Tuesday everyone, I would like to reflect on an Insight Day that I attended as part of my Certification Academy with Stemettes and NewDay. Throughout the day, I along with 10 other Stemettes interacted with different cybersecurity professionals at NewDay; exploring their different roles and learning about the different ways to build experience and enter the field. In particular, I enjoyed the speed networking session as it gave me the chance to ask more personalised questions on how to prepare for interviews and the potential of Cryptography as a career option. Thank you Sophie Chase-Borthwick, Noboneeta Mukherjee, Ashleigh Phillips, Natasha Barlow, Sakshi Kulshreshtha, Michael Meaney, Melanie M., Rujuta Joshi, Janna Banks (Nee Thomson) for giving up your time to help us learn more about how varied cybersecurity can be. And thank you Huda Noor, Lina B., Megan Wong, Dheeti Lahori, Yusra H. and all the other girls who made the day memorable! It was lovely meeting you all and it is inspiring to see other girls interested in the cybersecurity field 😁
