At Storm Building, we believe that our role as a construction partner extends far beyond delivering exceptional projects. Supporting the communities in which we work is a cornerstone of our Social Value responsibilities, and we are proud to share how our recent donation to the WISE Youth Trust has made a meaningful impact. The WISE Youth Trust, based in North East London, is dedicated to empowering young people by offering a wide range of support services and activities that build confidence, foster personal growth, and create lasting opportunities. Through their work, they provide mentorship, workshops, and community programs that nurture the potential of young individuals. Over the Christmas period, which can be a difficult time for many, our contribution to the Trust helped fund two exciting outings for the young people they support: a trip to Ninja Warrior UK in Watford and a day of bowling at the iconic O2 Arena. This donation was an integral part of our Social Value commitment while delivering the refurbishment of the Mile End CDC for Barts Health NHS Trust. By supporting local organizations like the WISE Youth Trust, we aim to ensure that our projects leave a positive and enduring legacy for the communities they serve. We extend our gratitude to Nabeel Hussain who put us in contact with the WISE Youth Trust for their incredible work and look forward to continuing to make a difference in the communities we operate in. For more information about the WISE Youth Trust and the vital work they do, visit their website: wiseyouthtrust.org.uk. #SocialValue #CommunityImpact #Construction #WISEYouthTrust #BartsHealth

Storm Building Limited had the pleasure of being one of the sponsors of the Barts Charity 900 campaign in aid of Barts Health NHS Trust at the OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie on the 6th December. The Charity lunch was in celebration of the 900th anniversary of St Bartholomew’s Hospital. Looking to the future, with the proceeds going towards a fundraising campaign for two important health projects that will help transform treatment for patients in our community and beyond: a new Breast Cancer Centre at St Bartholomew's Hospital, and a Clinical Research Facility at The Royal London Hospital. The event was a great evening with the opportunity to give back to one of the Trusts that has begun to transform the future of healthcare in London.

“Hanging up my Boots” … Not quite. As many of you may already be aware I will be retiring from Storm Building Limited at the end of November after what has been a wonderful 7+ years. I am pleased to see Storm, which has been like a family to me, evolve, grow and prosper. But it’s time for me to look forward to fresh challenges and new opportunities in life and take things a little bit slower. Although you haven’t got rid of me totally yet, as I will be returning to Storm in the New Year as a consultant for 2 days a week. I have been blessed and grateful to have worked with so many wonderful colleagues in my varied, extensive, and long healthcare career and I have been lucky to have met so many interesting clients, professional associates and friends whose relationships have enriched my life. I hope that I have done the same for you and thank you for picking up the phone when I called or replying to my emails, it can be a hard life in business development 😊 I am sure you will hear from me in the New Year but until then a big thank you to you all and have a wonderful, peaceful Christmas.
