💥 Breaking Boundaries: 5G and the Next Generation of Live Experiences On Saturday 08 March, the CoSTAR Realtime Lab (Abertay University) and AIX LIVE delivered a groundbreaking watch party, bringing fans from Dundee, Salford, Cardiff, and Belfast together to experience the Scotland vs. Wales 6 Nations match like never before! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 To bring this experience to life, a private 5G network was established between two 23m-wide LED Volumes in Dundee’s Realtime Lab and MediaCity Immersive Technologies Innovation Hub, and linked to CULTVR (a full-dome experience in Cardiff) and CoSTAR Screen Lab (Ulster University). The venues were centrally controlled by the Realtime Lab, curating an experience with real-time graphics and games in the AIX app, to respond to the needs of each location whilst connecting fans in different locations to a single, immersive experience.
