We are recruiting for a brand new role - Head of Volunteering! #StreetVet is on the lookout for a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team as the Head of Volunteering! Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of pets and owners experiencing #homelessness? As the Head of Volunteering, you will: 👉 Manage, develop, and grow our volunteer programme. 👉 Take charge of recruiting, onboarding, inducting, training, supporting, and communicating with our amazing volunteers. 👉 Ensure good governance and compliance. 👉 Act as an ambassador for volunteering across all StreetVet locations and externally. 👉 Monitor and evaluate the impact of our volunteering programme. 👉 Identify and assess opportunities to further develop the volunteer strategy. Sabrina is one of the nine Advocates for the Homewards Partnership and the programme tonight will discuss the reality of #homelessness across the UK and how Homewards is embarking on their mission to end homelessness. As an #AnimalCharity that supports the pets of those experiencing homelessness, this documentary touches our hearts deeply as we help to support those who have found themselves without a place to call home due to circumstances outside of their control. Those facing this harsh reality all have their own story, with many difference and varied circumstances and often a lack of support. The StreetVet Accredited Hostel Scheme works incredibly hard to enable more hostels and temporary accommodation providers across the UK to become pet-inclusive, and we are proud to share that we have accredited three hostels with Thames Reach in the Lambeth area, one of the locations that Homewards is focused in. The aim of the StreetVet Accredited Hostel Scheme is to protect the human-animal bond keeping pets and owners together wherever possible. The scheme supports hostel staff through education on the benefits of animal companionship, as well as providing pets and their owners with FREE veterinary care, food, and daily pet essentials. It was great to see our partners A Brush with Love at #StreetVets 7th Annual 'The Art of StreetVetting' Conference recently with their beautifully designed pet sympathy cards, which all support #StreetVet via donations through card sales. During the conference, the StreetVet team were able to vote on some special new card designs, which the Brush with Love team created specifically for StreetVet.
