Times Higher Education global rankings celebrate quality in global education Congratulations are due to Study Group’s UK, USA and Republic of Ireland university partners whose work to offer excellent levels of teaching and to support student attainment and wellbeing have again been highlighted in the annual THE World University rankings. US institutions now take 36.3 per cent of the share of votes for teaching and 38.1 per cent for research, whilst UK institutions hold 13 per cent of the share of votes for teaching and 12.8 per cent for research. The global rankings highlighted the rise in non-Anglophone universities, including those in China, where the country’s reputation for increased teaching quality is primarily driven by increasing levels of government investment in the sector. The UK’s reputation for academic quality retains the country’s standing as a quality destination for global education, albeit with a slight decline year on year amid funding challenges. UK, Irish and USA universities were praised for their work overall including the quality of education provided, facilities and the wider student experience.
