  • 🔥 Women in Business 🔥 Congratulations to member Pam Loch who has contributed to the writing of 'Business Development for Women Lawyers'. Pam is the perfect role model for businesswomen, particularly those working in Law, given her experience as a Female Lawyer and CEO of a successful law firm.

Women still only make up 37% of equity partners in law firms. As a female lawyer and CEO of a law firm, it was an honour to participate in the writing of ‘Business Development for Women Lawyers’. I had the privilege of being asked to contribute two chapters. One about rainmaking and one on how changing the approach to neurodiversity can be positively impactful for both the individual and the firm. “Diversity has become a common conversation in recent decades … however, when it comes to neurodivergence, whilst we are making headway, survey results demonstrate that there is still much to do to create a legal sector that celebrates rather than discriminates against differences.” This is a topic that goes beyond law firms, and it’s vital that all businesses better understand, support and work with neurodivergent employees. Thanks to Globe Law and Business Ltd for inviting me to be part of this unique book. #NeurodivergentLawyer #FemaleLawyers #WomenInLaw #BusinessDevelopment

📣 Did you see the news from our beneficiary charity? 📣 Table Talk Foundation is now Prept. Foundation! Table Talk Business Club’s name will remain the same, as will our relationship to the charity. As a community interest company profits will still be granted to Prept. The rebrand will further the charities mission to make food education accessible to all children and young people, whilst making a clearer definition between the two companies and our events. If you have any questions on the update, don’t hesitate to contact your Members Experience Manager, Stephanie Gibson.

What a night! 🤩 After bagging not one, but TWO (silver and bronze) awards at #DIAwards last night, Vixen Digital are now officially an ‘Award winning agency’ 😉 Super proud of the team who put a lot of hard work to provide amazing results for our client Qlic IT for Charities 💙 I’m particularly proud as we were competing against much bigger brands such as Royal Navy (sat at our table!), Birds Eye UK & IE, Vodafone and National Crime Agency (NCA). Congratulations to all the winners! 🎉

  • Luke Taylor and his team have worked their magic on our sister charity’s identity. Table Talk Foundation is now Prept. Foundation! The change will make the charity more accessible to young people and allow a clearer distinction between our two businesses. Preparing fruitful futures for food culture in the UK with Prept. Foundation. Service! 🛎️ UnitedUs poured our love of engaging food experiences into Prept, a foundational brand that prepares kids to get cooking. We crafted an impactful name and identity to establish the Sussex-based organisation as a brand capable of scaling across the nation. The educational charity is now better equipped to inspire a new generation through food. Huge thanks to Prept founders Jessica Aggarwal and Daniel Wade! This project served up so much energy in the UnitedUs studio, it was a treat to work with you on this! #Education #Charity #Branding

  • Last Friday we invited our members to an exclusive visit to El Bolillo, Hove's hottest new eatery by Chef Greg Clarke, before it opens to the public! Greg has an improbably glittering CV, featuring some of the best-starred restaurants in the UK and Scandinavia, with positions held notably as Development Chef for Daniel Clifford’s Michelin-starred restaurant Midsummer House, together with time spent at The Ledbury in Notting Hill, Restaurant Tom Aikens, Norway’s Maaemo. More recently Greg got the opportunity to come to Sussex and take over the fine dining restaurant The Pass, at the 5-star South Lodge hotel, for a highly acclaimed 6-month residency. Taking on the Hove food scene, Greg and his partner Matty wanted to bring a style of informal restaurant bringing a bold and energetic dining experience. Basing all of their dishes on traditional Mexican recipes but working around local seasonal produce, weaving in techniques from Greg's background, not strictly traditional but original. After being welcomed with their version of a margarita, members were treated to a sampling of their best dishes, which included tacos, lamb belly skewers, oysters with a Mexican twist, Sussex wagyu, and, of course, churros to finish. Additionally, we had the pleasure of having Mattia Barban from Berkmann Wine Cellars come to have lunch with us and enjoy the wonderful wines he matched with each course. Tonight is their first official opening to the public and we wish them all the best- We will definitely be returning 🔥 🌮

Last week we visited the hidden gem that is Cases in Brighton. Steve Pineau and his team at Cases collaborated with chef James Golding to host our members for our September meet-up. Upon arrival, we were shown to the basement, which houses the most amazing speak-easy cocktail lounge. There, we enjoyed Negronis and charcuterie plates, and then we were led upstairs to eat a freshly made three-course dinner that James had prepared and that Steve had carefully paired with wines. After lunch James hosted a Q & A with our members giving us all an insight into his successful career at some of the world's most recognised establishments.

Back at another Table Talk Business Club event yesterday and potentially one of the best I have been to. It was great as always to catch up with some wonderful connections and friends and enjoy the incredible food and wine at Cases, with a menu designed by James Golding. Having the opportunity to do this while raising money for the Table Talk Foundation is what makes the Table Talk events so special and why I enjoy them so much. Thanks for the great conversations too with Daniel Wade amongst so many!
