    It’s clear that Gen Z sometimes have very different expectations of work compared to older employees.   Buy why is that?       This quote from Sarah von Landsberg-Sadie, a panellist at TalentEdge’s leadership event last week really resonated with me.   The CEO of the first agency I worked for didn’t use a computer – he had one on his desk but the keyboard sat on top of the monitor which was mainly there to prop up his copy of the FT. He sold the business for millions – but crucially had a leadership team that was very driven and keen to innovate. And it was also in the years just before technology completely changed how we do business in recruitment.   These days the pace of change is so rapid that regardless of your age it can feel like a challenge to keep up, and so it’s even more important that leaders retain a growth mindset and a passion for life-long learning - otherwise it’s hard to convince your team they need to do the same.   I’m keen to speak to experienced recruiters who have a strong desire to continue learning, developing and taking on new challenges.   At both TalentEdge and Troi we have some amazing opportunities for consultants who have an entrepreneurial mindset and the drive to establish new teams and even new offices.   DM me to find out more. #ceoinsights #recruitmentjobs #growthmindset

    We’ve seen a big uptick lately in enquiries from businesses regarding interim and fractional HR leadership roles. It's not surprising given the HR challenges that businesses are facing right now, and in particular, the recent slew of new legislation. However, I’ve also noticed some confusion about the differences between interim and fractional support and what they involve. They’re significantly different – so it’s worth taking a step back before committing to anything and exploring which option works best for your business. While the list of differences below is not comprehensive, and there will obviously be some exceptions, broadly speaking, these are the variances between the roles. For those companies looking to ready themselves for changes to workers’ rights and related legislation, the right solution could be either – it very much depends on the HR resources you currently have in place and what stage you’re at in the journey.
