Local Care Leavers celebrated for National Care Leavers Week 2024🎊🥳 Local Care Leavers were celebrated through a range of fun events and activities to bring everyone together as a community and show the support on offer. It’s important to highlight as the process of leaving care and transitioning to adult life can be a difficult and challenging time, as care leavers start their journeys to gaining independence and overcoming hardships to follow a positive path in life. When it comes to formal requirements, there are very few reasons why you may be unable to become a foster carer. Most fostering providers prefer you to be over 21 years old. Last night was that time of the week again for our local Care Leavers!👩🍳 That's right it was Care Leaver's Tea Club, where they came together to spice it up with a chilli con carne. They was guided through the recipe by Chiit Chaat Indian Street Food 🍝 🌶️ Morrisons also donated a hamper, which was raffled off and won by one of our care leavers. Managers from across the Place Directorate came together today for a great session discussing cross directorate projects and all the exciting ongoing plans for the future.
