🙏🏼 A very big #ThankYou to everyone who attended #GenAI4Pharma: #London last week; especially to all the speakers, panelists, startups and, of course, our event partners: Slalom, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Coulter Partners. ⭐️ On May 14th, I had the pleasure of hosting the 3rd installment of my global series of #GenAI4Pharma events in London (UK). We had a wonderful turnout of almost 100 attendees, filling the lovely Slalom offices to capacity, leaving standing room only. 🎤 The day kicked off with Richard Fayers, who welcomed us to Slalom's London Bridge office. He also shared Slalom's perspective on "Navigating AI Strategies" and why it's important to go beyond just using #AI for #productivity or efficiency gains, but to also consider how it can forge uniqueness through #differentiation and ultimately lead revolutionary change through #disruption. 🧊 Subsequently, we had a hands-on #GenAI icebreaker, led by my brilliant and creative friend, Henry Coutinho-Mason, who took us through an artful journey to demonstrate how GenAI can help anyone level-up — even for things that we aren't very skilled at. For example, not everyone is good at drawing/art, but we all gave it a go and we were able to transform some basic/novice sketches into meaningful and professional outputs through the help of #GenAI! ✨ If you're interested in this, please reach out to Henry or myself — we've incorporated it into our #FutureNormal #CorporateInnovation workshop that we collaborate on. 🔑🎵 We then kicked off our keynote sessions with three insightful and enlightening discussions, including: 1️⃣ "#DeepLearning in #DrugDiscovery" — a presentation by Sarah Skerratt, FRSC (CSO of CHARM Therapeutics) on how #DragonFold — a #FoundationModel for predicting protein-ligand interactions — can help accelerate R&D for "#undruggable targets". 2️⃣ A "#GenAI — An Investment Opportunity" panel, moderated by Alex Merwin, along with: Natalie Pankova, Leigh Brody and Ala Alenazi. They discussed a focus on impact and outcomes for any technology, as well as the importance of cultivating talent. 3️⃣ A "#GenAI in Pharma" panel, moderated by Richard Butler, together with Julie Huxley-Jones, Leonard Wossnig and Sarah Skerratt, FRSC. They talked about how #DataQuality and #TrustedAlgorithms were two important criteria to overcome the big challenges in the pharma race for: targets, molecules, clinical trials and launch. 🏁 Finally, we had 6 great startups pitch their #pharma-focused #GenAI platforms: ► cfdx — a precision #neuroscience startup using #AI to develop a synthetic brain biopsy. ► Conduit Bio — a data refinery and AI engine for #DrugDiscovery ► DeepMirror — a #GenAI-powered drug design platform ► Lindus Health — an "anti-CRO" applying #AI to #TrialDesign, #PatientRecruitment and #DataManagement ► Sinkove — a #GenAI-powered biomedical imaging platform ► Tehistark — accelerating clinical/regulatory dossier generation with #AI
