Here is Sir Lee Pearson CBE, the world’s most successful Para-Dressage rider with his triple gold medal winning horse Breezer. Using his pioneering mobility vehicle, known as a TGA Scoozy, Sir Lee has achieved more freedom than ever before. With 37 golds to his name, 14 of those across six Paralympics Games, add an MBE, OBE, CBE and a knighthood to that too, which shows what an extraordinary ambassador for inclusive equestrianism he is. Talking to Sir Lee you get an idea of what the TGA Scoozy means to him: “I adore living here but with a severe disability it can be tricky. And I love the countryside so to be able to get out with the dogs as well as the horses is amazing. Often, we are hacking on the roads, so I just jump on my TGA Scoozy and carry on enjoying the scenery when I’m not on horseback. Our research on accessible staycation destinations in the UK has earned us a mention in the Welsh press. We looked into accessible places to explore this year, using data from local attractions, restaurants, public facilities and hotels to find the top locations. It was a scenic seaside town in Wales that topped the list. Thanks to its accessible activities, beaches and statuesque castle with ramps, disabled parking and lifts - all of which are located in the town of Tenby. In December, we took a trip to Taiwan and Japan to look at future products and developments. Navigating an airport can be difficult and daunting. At Osaka airport, we saw how autonomous mobility is helping 10,000 people a month move freely an independently through the airport. We saw how Whill products are available to help passengers to check in their mobility devices, key flight details into the Whill which then glides silently safely drives to your boarding gate, pausing anywhere you wish on route. This scheme is giving freedom and independence at airports throughout Japan and with trials running in the US and Europe, hopefully the UK can follow suit and make future travel that little bit easier. #accessibletravel #osakaairport #internationaltrip #futureofmobility

Debbie North, founder of Access the Dales and ambassador for TGA, has just published her first book, “North Yorkshire Accessible Walks for All”, with the help of her sturdy TGA Breeze S4 mobility scooter to explore the rocky and rugged paths of rural Yorkshire. Debbie’s passion for inclusive walks started after her diagnosis and the loss of her husband in 2015. TGA has supported her journey by setting up loan hubs across North Yorkshire, where scooters like the Breeze are free to loan, making nature accessible for everyone. From setting up the charity ‘Access the Dales’ to advising the Government, we’re always inspired by Debbie’s work, as she campaigns for countryside accessibility. This is an ethos shared by TGA as Managing Director, Daniel Stone: “Just like Debbie, we are committed to promoting inclusivity in outdoor activities for everyone with mobility challenges. Meet Steve Tarrant, a motorsport photographer and retired marshal. Despite living with a disability, Steve’s passion for racing hasn’t slowed down—thanks to his offroad Vita X mobility scooter. He has fulfilled his passion by marshalling at races all over the world including Le Mans 24 Hours, Petit Le Mans, Atlanta and Goodwood. However, Goodwood was where Steve’s life took a turn for the worse. In 2000 he was hit by an F1 car and sustained life changing injures. He pulled through, rebuilt his life and got back to marshalling over 30 events a year using a wheelchair and a mobility scooter. Steve says ‘Last time I went sightseeing on my scooter around Tartu and was stopped by lots of people who had never seen anything like it before. They found it mind blowing!
