Milestone achieved at Assheton House last week as we have started the scaffold strip. I love this phase of a scheme as it slowly starts to reveal all the hard work that has gone in to the scheme so far. Assheton House is undergoing a full transformation and will benefit from new wall ties, structural repairs and thermal efficient #ewi and #windows. It has also received new soil vent pipes, new electric heating systems and mechanical ventilation to all properties. The highly anticipated development of 28 new apartments at the former Winstanley House site, now known as Emmeline Court, is close to handover. Emmeline Court provides 22 affordable rent apartments and six shared ownership homes in one of the most sought-after areas of Cheshire, Knutsford. That's why our Neighbourhoods Team spent yesterday with 16 customers and their families viewing the flats and the scheme. The development is a significant milestone in addressing the growing demand for affordable housing in Knutsford, offering quality homes in a modern, sustainable environment. The project was made possible with grant funding from Homes England, which has supported the creation of these much-needed homes. Alongside Customers, our Team showed representatives from Homes England around the scheme.

Place-shaping isn’t just about attracting independent boutiques to beleaguered town centres. This short film looks at how Place Capital Group and Together Housing with their charity, Newground Together, are undertaking place-shaping in Shadsworth, Lancashire, where the need to provide opportunities for young people is real and pressing and where the impacts can be transformational. This project is about creating places that contribute to the long-term needs of a community in a more disadvantaged part of the UK in need of investment.
