Truly obsessed with Kyle MacLachlan’s TikTok 💚 The 65-year-old actor known for major roles in shows like Twin Peaks and Sex and the City has attracted a generation of new fans through his bizarre and hilarious TikTok content. He’s even being hailed as the ultimate Brat thanks to his love of Charli XCX 🍏 I think the biggest lessons for marketers from Kyle’s success is embracing bizarre, chaotic, unexpected content (in one video for example, he sings along to Chappel Roan whilst wearing a hot dog suit for no obvious reason 🤷♀️). You sometimes want to post something that makes people stop the scroll and go “What the…?” Kyle’s also found a really distinctive way of jumping on trends and created a TikTok personality that feels very authentic! 👏 Can’t wait to see which brands snap him up for a collab!

Looks like third-party cookies are still on the menu 🍪 After years of back-and-forth, Google announced it’s not phasing out third-party cookies after all. Instead, they’re exploring new ways to give users control over their data. 👉🏻 Google's latest plan involves a new Chrome feature that lets users make informed choices about data tracking. This new approach aims to balance privacy with functionality. 👉🏻 While the full cookie phase-out is on hold, Google's Privacy Sandbox APIs remain available, promising continued improvements in user privacy and ad utility. 👉🏻 This decision comes after significant regulatory and industry pushback. Marketers can breathe a sigh of relief as they won’t need to overhaul their systems - yet. Here's what our Senior Data Strategy Executive, Ali Moss, had to say: "Google's U-turn on the removal of third-party cookies gives advertisers a much needed break. This somewhat unexpected decision gives advertisers additional time to modify their advertising strategies and investigate different audience targeting techniques while taking privacy concerns into consideration. For brands, this means assessing targeting capabilities and investing in data collection, whilst also strengthening customer relationships through transparent and privacy conscious practices. Ultimately this is a time for brands to continue to reach audiences in ways that have shown efficiencies previously, whilst preparing for a future where privacy friendly solutions take centre stage in advertising."
