About us

The Anthony Knights Foundation Trust offer gifts and help to carers and families managing disabilities throughout their everyday life. These gifts are those of aids which can help those with managing a disability, which in some cases allows them to maintain a certain level of independence and respite services and facilities from carers to holidays and support for social activities. It is also our aim to know more about these carers and what we can provide to support them in their role. This support is also offered to those who may be restricted from having a good or happy life.

  • That’s our team back at Lukla where they will make their way back to Kathmandu tomorrow. Nicole said “We have just sat the last supper in Lukla with our lovely porters, assistants & our guide Rudra, it’s lovely to have got this photo of them before they all disperse. This photo just captures the memories that we will all hold for the rest of our lives”.

  • During what is an extreamly busy time for the foundation today we managed to hold our annual childrens Halloween party. As always a big thank you to Portesbury School for hosting the event. As you can see, it’s parties like this that also bring the families together as well as the children.

  • What an amazing morning spent at St. Mary’s today! We had a wonderful opportunity to take some families on a guided tour of the Football Club, hosted by Leon Burton Saints Archive, and the one & only James Beattie. The kids had a blast, and it was great to see so many accessible facilities available. What a brilliant job SFC has done with their new sensory room (Bargate Homes), which means that the whole family can now attend games, even if a family member has additional sensory needs. Well done Saints 👏🏻 We were thrilled to have been allowed to see the Boardroom, the 1885 and the changing rooms, amongst so many places. Each family were given a programme, which James kindly signed for them. A great day at St. Mary’s… enjoy Felicity’s video wishing the team good luck for tomorrows game ❤️🤍❤️ UTS

  • Our team are motoring towards Base Camp Everest. With an early finish today Nicole said “We’ve finally reached 5000m 😁 Staying at a tiny little village called Labouche, at hotel ‘Mother Earth’ we are all in really good shape & buzzing! It’s currently 1400hrs & we shall rest here until our mission to base camp in the morning.” Malcolm said “the altitude is defiantly having good an affect but just when you think the Scenery can’t get any better everyday suprises you”.

  • Today our team are currently staying l at Dingboche Hotel Imja Valley (4410m) & acclimatising for 2 days, they went on a long hike up to 4700m & a few continued to 5100M to help acclimatise. The altitude is certainly making people feel nausea & most are having difficulty sleeping. But they stay positive & gearing themselves up for the upcoming few days. Jon stated “750 vertical metres climbed on our rest day. The sense of accomplishment was emotional and bonding!”.

  • 23rd Oct - the team are doing well and morale remains high. Nicole stated “We have just arrived in a tiny remote village called Phortse, we walked down one huge mountain, crossed the river & then up another huge mountain. The journey took us around 7hrs & we are all absolutely pooped! The village sits right at the top. The owners name is ‘Pemba Sherpa’ and she came out to greet us. This is the most amazing experience, something I would strongly recommend anyone doing”
