About us

The Regatta Group is a family run business which has offices and distribution centres across the world. The Regatta Group, run by Keith Black and his sister Joanne, is home to 3 active outdoor brands – Regatta Great Outdoors, Craghoppers and Dare2b, as well as Regatta Professional for the international workwear market. Each brand is born from a passion for providing amazing products to help you get more out of the outdoors – whatever you love to do. Regatta is popular particularly in the family outdoor market with its wide offering of clothing, footwear, rucksacks, camping equipment, working with some well-known faces and organisations. Craghoppers focuses on the outdoor and adventure market with a strong emphasis on innovation and technology. Dare2b is a key player in the ski, cycle, run and hike markets, offering innovative products to their youthful customer base, looking to push themselves to the limits. Entrepreneurial spirit and great relationships are values which run throughout the business. How we work with our colleagues, customers, suppliers, factories, partners - everyone who has been touched by the Regatta Group should feel better for it. There is also a strong sustainability ethos that runs across the business, led by Joanne Black, who spearheads the group’s sustainability policy. This goes beyond producing sustainable products, but looks at how we work with our factories and their communities and how we can help improve their lives through education and training.

  • We are delighted to be a finalist in the North West Family Business Awards 2025 for The Green Award (large businesses) category, especially with a record number of family businesses, from across the region, entering the awards this year. This is recognition for the efforts of our fantastic teams across the business, doing what they can to help the Group be as sustainable as possible in everything we do. We are expecting a visit from one of the judges any day now, who will assess us before making their final decisions. The winners will then be announced at the awards celebration on 9th May. It was great to hear that Sue Bagguley of Siemens in Manchester, who hosted judging day, thought that: “The calibre of applications has been outstanding, and it’s clear that family businesses in our region are both proud and forward-thinking.” We think so and will be keeping our fingers crossed!

  • Today, we celebrated the amazing women we work with, in an afternoon of fun activities. We kicked things off with a high octane self defense class, equipping our colleagues with some handy moves to help them get out of a tricky situation. We then took the time to chat over tea and cake, talking about the inspiring women in our lives and who we saw as our mentors. The conversation did not stop, as we learnt more about each other and had a good laugh along the way. What a great way to continue the celebrations of #Internationalwomensday. Huge thanks to our People team for organising this event. Alyona Billinge, Martha McClean, Kate Glover, Ellen Woolley

  • This week, we welcomed our UK Retail managers from across the country to the Basecamp offices for the annual conference. The 70+ strong team spent two days discussing together, inspiring, learning, collaborating and celebrating each other's successes. We reviewed the achievements of 2024 and looked forward to an exciting 2025. Our customer experience is key and the team left very engaged to smash it for another year! Regatta Ltd, Craghoppers

  • Congratulations to all of our Managers on cohort 6 of the Journey to Management Excellence Programme, who completed their "Great Outdoors Bake Off" themed learning review yesterday. They baked up a storm with their creativity and there was enough cake to nearly feed the whole of Basecamp when they were done! A huge congratulations 👏 A big thank you to Gina Cole FCIPD who has been a brilliant course leader throughout.

We are over the moon that our collaboration with National Trust has been shortlisted to win an award. There was a huge team effort from across our teams to bring this collection to life, and we're so proud that that work is being recognised. Wish us luck, the awards take place in March.

Incredibly proud and excited to see our collaboration with Craghoppers shortlisted as a finalist for the Association for Cultural Enterprises 2025 Best Licensing Initiative award 😍 We've achieved so much together in this first season and the Craghoppers team have done a truly fantastic job in bringing our shared passion for the outdoors, community and sustainability to life through their products and campaign. I'm delighted their hard work has been recognised by the judging panel! Huge congrats to all of the other finalists, especially our National Trust colleagues in the Online Retail and Filming & Locations teams who are also shortlisted in their categories - fingers crossed for 12th March! https://lnkd.in/ek5ux6vm #culturalenterprisesawards #nationaltrust #craghoppers #conservation #mindfullymade

  • It's National Apprenticeship week and very fitting that Georgina Yates has just secured her first role in the Dare 2b Buying team whilst mid way through her Buying & Merch Level 4 Apprenticeship with us 👏 Read below to hear more about Georgina's journey at The Regatta Group so far! "I joined Regatta on the Professional team as an Account Coordinator and I really enjoyed this role as I learned all about the business and working with old and new customers. In April 2024, I moved over to the UK Wholesale team as a Major Account Coordinator, where I furthered my knowledge of the products and my customer service skills. I learned about the apprenticeships Regatta offer through my manager on the Regatta Professional team, and I have always had an interest in Buying, so when I moved over to the UK wholesale team, I began my Level 4 Assistant Buying and Merchandising apprenticeship where I am developing the skills to work within the buying environment.  I heard about a position within the Dare2b Buying team as an Assistant Buyer and went for an interview. I didn't think I would get this as I haven't finished my course yet. However, I was offered the position which I am so thrilled about! Working alongside the Buying team whilst completing my apprenticeship will benefit the outcome of my course and I am now on my first step to my career goals. Regatta has been so supportive in all of my goals and the opportunity to develop within the company is a massive benefit to working for Regatta. I couldn't have developed and got to where I want to be without my two managers Lisa Fox from the Professional team and Sharon Brookes from the UK Wholesale team." At Regatta Professional, our goal is to incorporate recycled fibres into every product by 2025—whether it's softshells, fleeces, or insulation. Since 2020 when we launched our first Honestly Made capsule range containing 100% recycled fabrics and insulation throughout, we have been working towards the rest of our fabrics becoming more sustainable so that the full Regatta Professional range can promote the same benefits. Together, let’s champion workwear that supports both today and tomorrow. • Last week, Sarah Grimshaw our store Supervisor in the very picturesque Pitlochry reached her 6 year exceptional service with us! 👏 Here is what she had to say about her journey so far: "I have officially been with Regatta for 6 years now and can safely say, I do love my job. I remember when I first started and didn't think I'd manage past 2 weeks, never mind 6 years! I've learnt so much and grown as a person and that's down to the wonderful team I have worked with past and present 😊. I started off as a Sale Assistant and now I am a Supervisor and honestly, I didn't believe that could happen for me. Thank you to each and every single person who has helped and encouraged me to be who I can be!" Congratulations Sarah, it's great to have you on our UK Retail team ✨
