A huge congratulations to Kat Greenbrook for selling over 1,000 copies of her brilliant book "The Data Storyteller's Handbook"! 😁 As Kat said, most self-published authors apparently sell around 100 copies, so selling 1,000 in less than a year is fantastic. #selfpublished #datastorytelling #books
In the self-publishing world, it's said you're doing well if you sell 200 books in the first year. Well... last week, after being published for eight months, The Data Storyteller's Handbook ticked over one thousand sales (1,022 to be exact). Of these, 152 (or 15%) were e-books. Over half of those e-books were purchased this month! This is huge!! I'm incredibly grateful to every person behind each sale. The book has been purchased by universities, libraries, bookshops, organisations, and many of you who simply want to learn about data storytelling. My vision for the book is that it helps create more understanding in the data world — understanding (and empathy for) the people being communicated with and the data itself. Thank you for the support 🙏❤️
