This review was the biggest test yet for WPP’s GroupM-led model. Sources told The Drum that the media agency's CEO was heavily involved in the pitch, his first since joining last July. WPP still retains a huge portion of the global business, worth $4bn in total. But losing this massive chunk will be a sore blow.
