  • ⭐ We're thrilled to share that our Net Zero projects have received a significant boost with over £14 million in funding from the Government’s Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund. This latest wave of support will help us continue our mission to create warmer, greener, and more energy-efficient homes for our residents. Having previously benefited from the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund, we have once again been successful in its application, securing a grant of £14,199,338 alongside numerous housing associations and local authorities across England. • We’re proud to be working in collaboration with West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) to reinforce our shared commitment to fire safety. 🏠🚒 The newly established WYFRS Headquarters in Birkenshaw, Kirklees provided the ideal setting for the latest Together Housing People and Property Directorate update. The event brought together our Building Safety Team and Health and Safety colleagues - creating a collaborative space to strengthen our partnership and drive forward our safety agenda. With the full support of Chief Fire Officer John Roberts and the WYFRS senior leadership team, we had key discussions on the latest updates, challenges, and strategic priorities within the directorate. The session provided valuable insights and strengthened our proactive approach to building safety. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this event a success. 🌟 Read here 👉 https://ow.ly/HeeJ50Vhqka

Exciting news! On 1 April 2025, WDH will become Vico Homes. Named after our vision to create better futures and vibrant communities. For a while now, we’ve been working on reviewing our brand with customers, partners and our colleagues and we believe that changing our name and our brand and will make us an even stronger organisation. Over the past 20 years as WDH, we've grown and we now provide homes across the north of England. Building on these great foundations, our new brand is a positive step, aimed at opening more doors to partnerships, helping us to grow, invest and support more people in more places, and bringing more homes and improved services to our customers, wherever they live. The service our customers, partners and communities get won’t change, and if you’re a current customer you don’t need to do anything. Along with our new name and brand, we’ve got a new business strategy and plans that set our goals for the years ahead. Customers will still be our number one priority and, in the next three years, we’ve got lots to do! Here's just a few of the things we’re working on: 🏠 Providing up to 1,500 new homes for the people who need them 🛁 Upgrading over 2,000 new kitchens and bathrooms 💚 Improving the energy efficiency of our current homes 🧱 Developing and regenerating key areas You can find more info, and answers to some questions we’ve been asked about our rebrand, on our website: https://lnkd.in/evDnKgBU

Place-shaping isn’t just about attracting independent boutiques to beleaguered town centres. This short film looks at how Place Capital Group and Together Housing with their charity, Newground Together, are undertaking place-shaping in Shadsworth, Lancashire, where the need to provide opportunities for young people is real and pressing and where the impacts can be transformational. This project is about creating places that contribute to the long-term needs of a community in a more disadvantaged part of the UK in need of investment. Place Capital Group is working with Together Housing to regenerate the existing estate in Shadsworth, implementing £30m of investment in new homes, existing homes, a new park and community centre featured in this film. #Communityinvestment #CultureRecoveryFund #Socialimpact #Housing #councilhousing #affordablehousing

  • International Woman's Day falls this Sunday 8th April, to celebrate, our partners YWCA Yorkshire hosted a spectacular event called The Listening Project- a poignant collection of hundreds of lived experiences from women who have accessed their service. These stories were crafted into a series of 10 linked poems by poet, author and women's advocate Rachel Bower, describing the journeys, successes, friendships and hope for the future as told by the young women. Themes explored include homelessness, domestic abuse, parenting, sexual violence and relationship breakdowns. Our supported housing teams attended the launch event at Sheffield Town Hall, hosted by the Lord Mayor of Sheffield. Sue Lewis Assistant Director Supported Housing and Neighbourhood Safety at Together Housing said: “The YWCA Listening Project is a remarkable way to share unheard voices and stories of women across South Yorkshire. As a partner of YWCA we are delighted to also be able to show our thanks to these women and to YWCA who work tremendously to support them all year round.”
