PROJECT UPDATE: Torsion Homes, Hebden Bridge, 10 luxury new homes! Our team in Hebden Bridge continues to make excellent progress onsite. Roofing works on five of the ten plots are complete, ensuring that the plots are now watertight. Roofing on the remaining plots will be completed in the coming weeks. The removal of scaffolding from the watertight plots has revealed the natural Yorkshire stone, renowned for its durability and timeless appeal. This stone seamlessly complements the surrounding Hebden Bridge landscape. ✨ EXCITING NEWS: Our Burnsall House development in Warwick has topped out! ✨ A hugely significant milestone for our 196-bed student accommodation scheme. Earlier this week, we welcomed our project partners for an official Topping Out ceremony to showcase the fantastic progress we've made. It also gave them an opportunity to see our plans for driving the project forward to completion. **Exciting progress on our luxury homes in Scorton Village! 🏡** We’re excited to report great progress on our five luxury residential properties in Scorton Village in Richmondshire, North Yorkshire. Our team on site are currently working on brickwork and installing joists, with Plot One on schedule to be at wall plate level in the next two weeks. We’re now focussed on reaching wall plate level on the other plots too, and then getting the roof installed by the end of October. After that, it's on to screeding ground floors and starting first fix. A big shout-out to our amazing on-site team for their considerate approach. They've been brilliant at managing the challenges of working near Scorton's centre, with a residential area, nursery and medical centre right next door. Their careful planning and coordination of deliveries have been key to minimising disruption. The site also has tight access, so being mindful of busy times in the village has been key to ensuring access for residents as well as parents using the nursery and those visiting the medical centre. This state-of-the-art care home will be operated by the experienced operator Tanglewood Care Homes, as part of our joint venture. York Manor Care Home has been meticulously designed with a focus on ESG, quality and comfort. Our commitment to ESG has delivered an EPC A-rated care home, approaching net zero with a score of 8. City Fields – 58 Retirement Living Apartments We’re excited to share the latest milestone at our City Fields development in Wakefield! The project is progressing well, and we’re thrilled to announce that the building is set to become watertight with the roof nearing completion. Just in time for the winter months, this will allow us to continue with the internal works, keeping us right on track. Internally, we’ve already seen great progress. The second-floor screed has been poured, partition walls are up on the ground and first floors, and first fix M&E installations are complete on both levels. On the lower ground floor, plastering has begun, marking another step forward. We’re also proud to see our commitment to training in action, with an apprentice plumber and roofer gaining hands-on experience on-site. In keeping with our high standards, the project recently scored 43 on the Considerate Constructors Scheme, showcasing our dedication to best practices and responsible construction. Looking ahead, over the next four weeks, we’ll see plastering progress and second fix works begin. By mid-October, scaffold removal and the start of external works will bring the project into its final phases. PROJECT UPDATE: Burley Street, Leeds Progress is moving swiftly on-site at our 189-studio student accommodation development on Burley Street, Leeds. We’re excited to report that all concrete frame works have been completed up to level 5, with core 1 stairs installed up to level 7. Brickwork on the substructure is progressing well, alongside the internal blockwork on the ground floor, with the scaffold now commenced which will wrap around the building. Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for the next major milestone—concrete pours for levels 6, 7, and 8, as well as the installation of columns and parapets. The SFS installation is also set to begin shortly, alongside window installation and insulation in preparation for the brick façade. We’re also proud to recognise our Employee of the Month, Richard Wilson (pictured left with Ed Newman, Technical Apprentice), who’s been instrumental in keeping the project on track. Richard's positive and proactive attitude has made a real difference, and we’re pleased to present him with a well-deserved £25 Amazon voucher in recognition of his efforts. In addition to the great progress on-site, we're pleased to announce that the project has achieved an Excellent score in our first Considerate Constructors Scheme assessment, with another review scheduled this month. We’re developing Burley Street with our joint venture partner Zenzic Capital, and are on track to complete the project ahead of the 2025/26 academic year.
