We are SO proud of our amazing CEO Quendreda Geuter who has been voted one of Bath & Somerset's Most Inspiring Women by readers of The Business Exchange South West. Quen has made a massive difference to our charity in the four years she has been at the helm, having led the growth of an incredible team doing exceptional work with those affected by trauma. We love the advice she would give her younger self: "The journey is unpredictable. But your actions aren’t. Work hard, make choices that stay true to your values. That’s how you earn pride in wherever you land.” Well done Quen, you are a 🌟

🚀 Collaboration NOT Competition! 🤝 Small charities that work together become more than the sum of their parts and can achieve even greater impact. So, when we learnt that two of our portfolio charities, who first met through The Fore’s Peer Network at a training session, and later at one of our portfolio charity dinners, had partnered to deliver a City Bridge funded project, we knew we had to tell you about it. 🗣️ “The Fore feels much more like a partner than a funder to us. We’ve really benefited from being a part of the Fore Peer Network. We met the wonderful Zoe Minihan from Hotel School through the Fore Peer Network, and they are now part of a three-year project with us, working to increase best practice around trauma informed support for survivors of collective violence.” -Tiffany Watts, Strategic Advisor at Trauma Treatment International. ♻️ Share this post to remind your peers that small charities are strong together! 📩 The Fore portfolio charity leaders, comment below if you'd like more info on how to access our Peer Network! 📷 Check out the picture below to see Tiffany and Zoe at our Portfolio Dinner back in November. #peernetwork #collaboration #backedbythefore #dinner

Our BBC Radio 4 appeal is being broadcast live again at 3.25pm so please do listen in if you can. As you may have heard over the last few days, we tell the story of Tuğrul, who was helped by TTI to recover from PTSD after being held hostage in Libya for eight months. As our CEO Quendreda Geuter explains on our website (https://bit.ly/4hXhyIR), Tuğrul is just one of many individuals helped by our trauma treatment thanks to a three-year grant from the MSN Fund. Sadly, that funding has now come to an end, and so donations to our appeal really are vital. Please do take a look at the article and click here to donate: https://lnkd.in/ew_-uhiT

Members of the TTI team and some of our supporters came together this morning to listen to our BBC Radio 4 Appeal together, and discuss the vital work of our charity afterwards. As our CEO Quendreda Geuter says: "It’s a special moment in any UK-based charity’s journey to be accepted by the BBC for their first Radio 4 Appeal. Listen to find out how we support victims of torture, trafficking, slavery and war. If there was ever a need for scaling up, this is it. Help us help more people in 2025 by listening in and donating. Thank you." Thank you so much to Tugrul for his generosity and bravery in sharing his story with us, and to actor Christopher Harper for his support in presenting the appeal so beautifully. You can listen to the appeal again here: https://lnkd.in/ew_-uhiT, while you can also hit the donate button on the page to support our work.
