❗ No child should have to know what a food bank is, let alone need one. Yet millions of families across the UK are facing hunger because our social security system isn't providing the support it should. The basic rate of Universal Credit is JUST £91 a week, which simply isn't enough to cover the essentials like food, heating and internet access. But it doesn't have to be this way. Invitation to Tender (ITT) for Rapid Evidence Review I am excited excited to share a new Invitation to Tender (ITT) for a rapid evidence review on the critical intersection between environmental issues and the increasing need for food banks in the UK. 🔍 Scope of the Review: The review should cover the: (1) Impact of Climate Change and Environmental Degradation: How and to what extent climate change and other forms of environmental degradation may impact the need for food banks in the UK in the future, and where they may already be doing so.
