Two of the things that are important to driving our culture at TUBR are 1) Understanding the market and voice of the customer 2) Giving young talent a place to really exercise their skills and smarts We often open our doors to University students and promise them the opportunity to own a project and "get their hands dirty." The value these students brings always blows our expectations out of the water! Thanks to the The University of Sheffield three weeks ago Calan Curtis & Evan Jones joined our team to work on a 3 week project over their Easter break. We set an ambitious goal - talk to 3-5 ICP [Ideal Customer Profiles] as part of a well planned systematic market research initiative. They had two 1) Source / Book & Interview 3-5 ICPs 2) Plan a non-bias set of interview questions 3) Analyse the data The two of them drove straight in splitting the work. They set up LinkedIn accounts [help them grow their followings & connect with them], dropped cold messages and engaged top execs at large enterprises and managed to land some really great conversations. They organised and designed the study and then took the conversations and broke them down to analysis the data. These are two top students that will go far in whatever they choose to do, but for now we're enjoying the fruits of their hard work as we use their analysis to build customer personnas for our internal product roadmap and marketing strategies.
