   🚨 Job Alert 🚨 Job Title: Stores Coordinator Department/Location Lowestoft Company: Turner Iceni Limited  Reporting to: James Lucas (Operations Manager)  Main job purpose: General running of the Warehouse/Stores Salary: £27,500 Key Duties and Responsibilities: Primary Functions Co-ordinating the day-to-day operation of the stores, including: • Satisfying vessel stores requests and communicating with the vessels accordingly, •       Filling/Emptying oil cans around vessel service requirements, •       Ensuring the housekeeping of both the warehouse and the office exterior, •       Maintaining good levels of stock and ensuring the stock book reflects this, •       Collecting/delivering supplies to the office/vessels, •       Transporting vessel stores to remote sites as and when necessary, •       Ensuring all warehouse certificates are kept up to date, •       Ensure the forklift certificates and maintenance are kept up to date, •       Maintain the crew store and security of the building. •       Raising Purchase Orders in a timely manner for any purchases and ensure any delivery notes/invoices are managed appropriately.  🔵 Secondary Functions •    Liaising with delivery companies and establishing and maintaining a rapport with local suppliers and customers, •    Communication with client stores departments around deliveries and collections, •    Innovations and suggestions for improving the efficiency of the department.  🔵 Skills and Qualifications  •       Polite and confident telephone manner •       Excellent verbal and written skills •       Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams) •       Attention to detail •       Highly organised and reliable •       Ability to work independently •       Must be proactive and able to work off own initiative 🔵 Additional Requirements •       Must be flexible.  •       Must have a clean UK Driver’s License. •       Forklift/Towing experience preferable but not essential. The sunny weather this week has tempted our senior marine consultant Donna Van Damme out bridge-spotting. It was all in the line of duty however, as she was at the Shell Base in #Lowestoft yesterday for a VEP (vessel entry procedure) on the Iceni Revenge for ScottishPower Renewables. Accompanied by Mitchell Lucky, the deputy operations manager at Turner Iceni, she inspected the Iceni Revenge, which was built in 2009 and can carry 12 passengers out to the wind farms. Which is where she was very pleased to spot the new Gull Wing Bridge opening and closing. The road bridge is in its final commissioning stage and when complete, will give Lowestoft its third water crossing over Lake Lothing. The bridge has a bascule span 39.5m long, 22m wide and 35m tall and lays claim to being the largest rolling bascule bridge in the world lifted using hydraulic cylinders. It will sit clear of the highest tide by 12m. And the #weatherupdate? Sunny.
