Our Veterans' Data Dashboard informs the public on the data we hold about the veteran community and assists research and policy making. We've recently given it a refresh, working with the Office for National Statistics and the Ministry of Defence to add data from the England and Wales Census 2021 and headline figures from the recently released Scotland Census 2022. We've also updated the interface to make it more interactive and user friendly. The dashboard will contain data on the following: 📊 Veteran demographics 🗺️ Veteran locations (to local authority level) 💼 Employment 🏠 Housing https://lnkd.in/euG-AbBV

💷 Russia claims its economy is thriving because of its illegal invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin is lying. 📉 Inflation is double the Central Bank’s target and war expenditure is creating unsustainable growth and an overheated economy. #StandWithUkraine 🇺🇦

Our Armed Forces personnel will receive the largest pay award in 22 years, with up to a 6% increase. New recruit salaries will also align with the National Living Wage: https://ow.ly/Pwxg50SNl5m. Defence Minister Alistair Carns visited Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to hear what this means to our people first-hand.

Ukraine's advancements in naval defence technology have proven invaluable in the Black Sea. 26 Russian Navy vessels were damaged or destroyed in the region between February 2022 and June 2024. Crucially, commercial shipping is now returning to near pre-war levels in the region. With tens of millions of tonnes of cargo coming through the Black Sea in recent months. 🇺🇦#StandWithUkraine

❗Russia uses uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) to target civilian and military sites in Ukraine. In March a UAV attack on an apartment block in Odesa killed 12 civilians including five children. It would prove to be the first of many attacks that month. In total the UN records at least 604 civilian were killed or injured in March. The majority were a result of Russia's use of UAVs and other loitering munitions and missiles. In June Ukraine successfully struck a UAV launch site, destroying at least 120 UAVs. Limiting Russia's ability to launch UAV attacks in the immediate future. The United Nations High Commission for Human Rights, has reported that the majority of civilian casualties in Ukraine are caused by the use of explosive weapons in populated areas, these weapons include UAVs. With one UAV site wiped out there is hope that 2024 rising civilian casualty toll may begin to fall. 🇺🇦#StandWithUkraine
